This is by far the worst of three hotels that we have stayed in Buenos Aires. The room is dated and without character it also smelled of cheap aftershave! The wi-fi is slow especially as they charge 80 pesos per 24hour period, this is the first hotel I have been to in South America that charged. There is no in-room...

I liked everything about this hotel. The interior design is gorgeous; the room was really lovely and very quiet despite being at the front of the hotel; the staff were superb and the food in the restaurant was excellent quality and value for money. Our bathroom was lovely and we will be very pleased to return.

We were overnighting prior to a long flight the next day to Dubai/Kabul. This could not have been a nicer stay. Car parked, check in seamless, room very nice. Our view was a River view which was great. The breakfast buffet was possibly the best we have had, just fabulous. Great location, next to loads of shops and restaurants

I stay at the Emprador when I travel to Argentina on business. I have always been satisfied with the quality of the rooms and service. During my last trip, my luggage was lost during an evening flight from Cordoba to Buenos Aires. I explained my predicament to the staff at reception, who took ownership of the problem and followed up...

All the details and furnishings were what we would expect in up-scale Buenos Aires. Breakfasts were excellent. Nice room, nice view, convenient location to attractions. High-quality cuisine, Good wine bar and restaurant. There is WiFi Excellent staff, taxis ordered and arrived within minutes. Excellent location. Free champagne and biscuits with booking of Suite.

The Emperador hotel is reasonably well located. From here you can easily walk to restaurants, parks, flea markets, the train station (if you wanted to go to the Delta or San Isidro), Florida street shopping and the Recoleta neighborhood, but you'll walk through some sketchy spots to get there. The guest rooms are comfortable with an AC you can adjust...

We went during the summer of 2013 to attend a wedding which was also at the hotel. We booked one of the weekend packages on the website and got a better deal than anywhere else thanks to the kind booking agent who helped me realize that. At the time, it was a good deal and included breakfast, wifi, late checkout,...

This luxury hotel located in the heart of Buenos Aires (Recoleta area) and about 15 minutes drive from the domestic airport Reception area was huge and the staff was helpful. There was a bar and restaurant located on the same floor. The restaurant for breakfast has a really nice garden set up. A not so great Buffett breakfast cost USD50...

My room was situated at the front facing the Avenida de Liberator... CONSTANT traffic noise from very early in the morning till the late hours. BRING EARPLUGS....I knew about the noise but my request to have a quiet room was ignored completely! It is not really very classy - average room ambiance. I've been at this hotel for some times, always when I'm traveling for business and I appreciate the hotel in general. Very comfortable bed, the room is clean, bathroom, air conditioning, shower everything works well. Maybe two opportunities: the rooms turned to the Main Street are too noise, sometimes disturbing a little bit if you need silent to sleep. Another...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
