Such a good staying there. I loved the design of my room, everything worked well, I really had an opportunity to rest after log trip. Food service - unreal. The staff - perfect. I can't say even one bad word about that place but I could say a lot of compliments. I hightly recommend that hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a trendy area. Was fully booked at the time I was there. Couldn't arrange a late check out. Located near a cannel which has multiple restaurants and night clubs. All the amenities you would expect.

What a Disappointment the Faena Hotel is. NOT a 5 star hotel it once was. The bed in our room was more than 10 years over due for a change. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in a “5 star hotel” . The staff is rude if you are not Argentinian, typical for of a hotel that pays the staff practically nothing and a place no one tips. The bartender at the library was totally focused on taking to the hooker at the bar and totally ignored us sitting next to this loud obnoxious couple. The pool was freezing cold. Why can’t they heat the pool to take the chill off so you can enjoy the pool. The wait staff at the pool was slow to deliver the drinks or food at the pool and often confused the orders or never returned to deliver the correct order. The man at the checkin Juan Pablo is joke. He gave wrong information about the hotels offerings for the valentines dinners. I found out the evening of valentines that there was a Tango Show with dinner that included meat choices that the other restaurants were not offering. The Tango show and dinner was offered for $270 USD per person. I was offered $135 USD pp at the door or 48,000 Argentinian pesos which equals $270 pp. it had to do with the blue dollar. While I was negotiating with the man at the entrance to the Tango show I saw food coming from the Mercado restaurant through the lobby long lobby filled with people uncovered, how disgusting. We declined to eat or see the show. Do yourself a favor and stay at the holiday inn and save yourself a lot of money and aggravation and most of all disappoint in once was a fabulous hotel. They tell you that the hotel is full as well as the restaurants. That’s a lie, nothing at Faena is full except the arrogance they dish out.

Don't be fooled by the "white leather interior" marketing language. The rooms are old fashioned and uncomfortable, but bigger than usual. The bar and restaurant are better, although the choice for breakfast could be bigger. The real star of this hotel is the Rojo Tango show, but that deserves its own review.

I highly recommend a staycation at Faena Buenos Aires, especially if you can benefit from the great rates for residents. Sundays at the pool can be very busy so I would go for a weekday stay to completely immerse yourself in the Faena experience. It's like a daydream. El Porteño building (as the historic mill transformed into FAENA hotel was formerly known) had been slated for demolition and was saved by historic conservationists in the 1990s. I learned after staying here that the building's bricks were originally imported from Manchester and could not believe that I was staying in a building whose red brick façade came from my University city! Take time to enjoy breakfast surrounded by the Palo Borracho trees [which blossom with huge orchid like pink flowers in Autumn] or inside with a view of the open kitchen and the glass cabinets full of beautiful china, glass and memories. Make sure to have the fruit plate which changes daily. Raspberries, peaches and plumbs were the best treat as well as the home toasted muesli. Poolside, my diet was mostly a liquid one. I loved both the Faena Rosé and Torrontes, the super healthy O'Campo Mocktail of rosemary, grapefruit, ginger and lime, and the earl grey tea served in a perfect teapot. My favorite place to sit is on the daybed at the opposite end of the pool to the bar and its a must to return at night when the whole pool is transformed with red lights flickering on the water and relaxing lounge music that brings back so many memories. My room was large and extremely comfortable, the sumptuous velvet curtains enclosing the bathroom so much fun, and the cleanliness of the room impeccable. I loved the little desk and delicate silver chair in the bathroom. My view of the pool and the city. I loved the red interiors of the closets and was glad I had brought some nice dresses to hang there. The temperature in the room was perfect. Because I asked to change rooms I had a twin room and even though the bed was small it was so comfortable that I slept like a baby without even moving. I loved to draw the curtains even though I usually don't because, why not if you can open and close them at the flick of a switch by the bed! Early morning I turned off the aircon and opened my window to listen to the sound of the birds singing and the water spouting out of the crown fountain in the distance. I especially appreciated Fernando's welcome with his white cape at the door, Delfina checking me in, getting me a seat at the pool on a busy Sunday, and sending a lovely surprise bottle of bubbles to my room due to a confusion about the pool menu service. A very thoughtful gesture! Federico and his colleague at breakfast who served me several coffees, Gisela and Fernanda taking care of my room service requests, Juan Batista who checked me out and let me stay a little longer. Ariel and others who searched and found my favorite FAENA notepads in different drawers and cupboards so I could sketch, and all the staff around the pool where I hung out most of the time! That's the short version of my daydream experience at the fabulous FAENA!

We have been living in Buenos Aires for the last 3 years and because of the pandemia and not being able to travel we decided to spent a weekend at Faena. From the decor of the hotel by Philip Stark, the spacious room with the incredible bath tub, having breakfast in the lovely court yard and enjoying the fabulous pool it made our stay so enjoyable and special. We must add the special treatment from the staff from Ariel customer relations to Geremias and Vanesa at the pool

This place is over the top. A masterful conversion of a cruddy factory into a luxurious hotel features a lovely pool garden and on-site restaurant. Decor is modern with period, baroque details. Very comfortable rooms.

I'll start out by saying, if you're in BA, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's very stylish and a very cool place to hang out. Starting there as a tourist however, is another story. The rooms are tiny. Decor (outside the rooms) is amazing, Service is okay, location is good, but everything else is underwhelming. Came here on my honeymoon, so was in the mood to splurge. We also attended the much lauded New Year's Eve party. Unfortunately, if I'm being totally honest, the party was a little dull and we retreated back to our tiny rooms early, a bit disappointed. I'm from New York, so I'm used to cramped spaces and overpriced items, but this just did not live up to the hype. There are much better elite hotels in BA for travelers, better off staying somewhere else.

The hotel is located in an upscale and pleasant neighborhood. Its staff are generally very courteous and obliging. Taste is very subjective. Whilst the Hotel and its rooms are very opulently furnished I find the thick red velvet curtains and dark corridors everywhere oppressive. There isn't even a writing desk in the room. Switches are not quite within reach from the bed because there is a fairly wide gap between the beds and wall switches.... You need long arms to reach them. There isn't even a kettle in the room for me to make tea. Housekeeping was obliging to bring me one when I requested for it. It is so impractical to have the WC and bidet as separate units. My room (level 4) was unfortunately below or near to the Hotel bar. Of the 3 nights that I stayed there was a life band was performing (presumably at the bar) for 2 nights, It usually ends before midnight. So, I couldn't get to bed till past midnight. An unpleasant experience.
