For those visiting Argentina be careful - this hotel charges the MEP dollar exchange rate, which means you'll end up paying 10-15% higher in USD than the rate you booked for the hotel online. The hotel was unresponsive to follow-up e-mails. Otherwise, the facilities are nice and appropriate for a 5-star hotel, and overall, we enjoyed our stay, but this left a bad taste in our mouths. Will be staying elsewhere next time we visit Buenos Aires.

Our stay in Buenos Aires was wonderful thanks to this hotel! The area the hotel is in is lovely and great to walk around. The hotel itself is beautiful, our room was spacious and had a great bathroom with large stall shower and soaking tub. We stayed on the higher floors which are newer I believe, and they also have a butler. The concierge were all so helpful in assisting us with everything we needed- they made plans for dinners, exchanged money for us, booked taxi services as well as a tango show! They were so pleasant and knowledgeable. The rooftop bar area is so pretty and the breakfast buffet every day was delicious. We also went to the Taylor Swift concert during our visit, and our butler Antonella chatted with me about how she was also going. I came back to our room that night to a handwritten card and friendship bracelets that she made for me to wear to the concert. It was such a personal touch and just shows how the staff cares about their guests, they go above and beyond! Would definitely recommend choosing this hotel for your visit to Buenos Aires! This is one of the world’s finest hotels. If you are staying in Buenos Aires it’s the place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The word luxurious comes to mind. The people who work at the hotel are very special. They are always very helpful or looking for ways to help from the people at the bell desk, the front desk and room service to those at the concierge desk. The concierge people deserve special comment: Claudio, Esperanza, Julien and Sebastian are all excellent. The lobby bar is a classy place. The pool bar is very nice. The Alvear Grill is off-the-chart good. We will review it separately. We might add that this was our third stay at the hotel and that we were there for fully three weeks. We look forward to our next stay.

This Hotel is within the best 2 or 3 ones I have ever stayed in my trips since more than 50 years ago. I have been there several times and I will keep going. Just only one alert: Be careful with the invoicing. My reservation for two nights was for $ 1,500.00, they charged 3,000 in my credit card. This was on nov 12th 2023. I have put the claim, lets see with what they come.

Don't hesitate to spend the extra money for this hotel, it is totally worth it. The bed, pillows and sheets are amazing! the staff is over the top. the lobby bar is excellent. They booked a Van for us last minute to get to Taylor Swift concert, very reasonable.

I just arrived. The building us undoubtedly beautiful but the decor is fussy and tired, the gym closes at 7pm, and the roof-top bar at 11.30pm; in BA that is outrageous. The technology, TV sockets, fixtures etc are all dated. It just feels like a relic. At $500/night it's a scandal and cannot compare well to any international hotel at this price.

This review is for the bar of this amazing hotel. We visited this beautiful hotel for lunch which we had in the bar and it was excellent. The atmosphere, elegance and ambiance of this place is amazing and I am so glad we visited. Needless to say service and food was impeccable.

Top notch hotel front start to finish. The service, friendliness of staff, food, drinks and great rooms are as good overall as you will experience anywhere. One of our travelers had some special needs and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate.

Well located very stylish hotel in upmarket area of Buenos Aires, surrounded by designer stores. Large comfortable rooms, but let down by having just one arm chair and one desk chair, two armchairs or a couch would have been welcome and there was more than enough room for this. Breakfast was a highlight, silver service and amazing buffet. We dinned in the Alvear Grill, we enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent service. This hotel compliments the Paris of South Americ perfectly and we would stay here again.
