Nestled in a prime location, the Savoy Hotel garners acclaim for its convenience to local attractions, safety, and dining proximity. The hotel's atmosphere is often described as luxurious, with spacious rooms adorned in elegant decor and period features, although a few guests suggest some aspects require refurbishing.
Cleanliness is celebrated throughout, albeit with minor critiques on upkeep in certain areas. While the hotel's amenities and service generally earn high marks for comfort and attentiveness, opinions on value and breakfast quality show more variance among guests.

We loved staying at the Savoy, besides feeling like we were in a palace, the environment is very clean, organized and the room is very spacious and quiet. The location is a perfect spot, it is close to the part of Corrientes that is open from Thursday to Sunday night with several excellent bars and restaurants... Avenida Callao is also very good, it is super busy, our room was right in front of the street, but you close the window and hear NOTHING, perfect! The breakfast is delicious, the food and drinks at the bar are also... there is security at the hotel entrance, we felt super safe, without any danger... in the same block there is a pharmacy, 24-hour convenience store and restaurants. .. anyway, I highly recommend it... a tip, when ordering an Uber, sometimes you need to cross the street, as the hotel is right on the exclusive bus and taxi lane...

We stayed here twice during our little trip between Argentina and Uruguay. I am writing this review after the second three-night stay in the same hotel. I must say that the structure is very beautiful, both from an architectural point of view and for all the fittings that are present within the structure itself. Staff very helpful and ready for any suggestion. The reason why I give a low rating is for a series of reasons that also caused me some inconvenience. The main one is the Internet connection, I have never managed to have a stable connection from the room that would allow me to hold online meetings. I have reported this several times to no avail. The problem persisted even when I went down to the lobby in hopes of being able to work better. Another point on which they could improve is the breakfast, which I would say is not excellent but above all not rich. Another thing that struck me was that in a total of five nights spent in this hotel we were never able to get a mat for getting out of the shower and were forced to use a face towel. This has also been reported several times but to no avail. Another thing that struck me was that the air conditioning never worked, which is sometimes absolutely necessary on particularly cold days. It therefore turns out that the quality/price ratio is not so sustainable.

The Savoy was built in 1910, but it has been well preserved and maintained. The corner room that we stayed in (a more expensive upgrade) was very spacious, with high ceilings, a king bed, a large desk, and a sofa bed, with room to spare. A large picture window opens to a narrow balcony. It was fun to wake up, draw the curtains open the window and step onto the balcony to watch Buenos Aires come to life. The bathroom was updated and also quite large with a walk-in shower. The hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to many of Recoleta's sites. All kinds of stores, restaurants, and cafes are nearby. The staff at the Savoy is exceptional. The front desk people are knowledgeable and truly enjoy helping you plan your day. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, but of average quality. There is plenty of seating. I highly recommend the Savoy for its location, staff and value.

We ran away for my wife's birthday and went as a family. The room had a double bed and 2 small beds for our children, it was IMPECCABLE, the space and distribution very comfortable, the impeccable bathroom, the staff very willing to help everything to the guests, the breakfast very complete and the old facilities but very well maintained we loved to such an extent that we preferred to go enjoying the stairs to appreciate each space. The only thing that would improve is the heating, we are not cold and the rooms were very hot in winter.

Reception and lobby staff were very attentive helpful. They were very busy most of the time. There seemed always be one receptionist who spoke English well. We arrived from a cruise ship disembarkation early in the day and appreciated that we were welcomed stay in the lobby and restaurant until we could check in at 3pm. Mathias the bell captain graciously gave us a brief orientation about basic survival knowledge for our first time in BA. The breakfast room is busy with tourists and business people. We found that going in for breakfast after 8 am it was less crowded. Good food and plenty of it. The daytime temperatures were in the mid 30's C, and we could not tolerate the heat well, so we stayed in our air conditioned room a lot. The hotel is well located for outings out into the city. We only walked and took taxis, but plenty of other public transportation options were just outside the door. We had a plumbing problem, but a plumber arrived who promptly fixed it. Though most travellers know not to put toilet paper in the toilet, I think it would be good to have written notices about the practice of using the little trash can posted in the bathroom. I'd certainly recommend this unique and comfortable hotel to anyone.

Hotel Savoy was beautiful. The inner city location was superb with an excellent cafe across the street and a historical restaurant, founded in 1896, both within 100 meters. The breakfast at Savoy was also the best we encountered during our 6400 km Patagonia Road trip. We stayed at Hotel Savoy both prior and following our trip. The standard “classic” room was adequate but a bit small. The executive room had more space with a King bed. Value for the hotel was very fair, particularly when paying with local currency. Beds were comfortable and rooms were immaculate. The staff was efficient and booking via various sites was simple. Contact the hotel prior to arrival and they will be sure that you have an official taxi prepared to take you into the center which will ultimately save you money. The hotel is within a short walking distance of the National Congress Palace and The Obelisk.

I needed shuttle service from and to EZE which was difficult to coordinate with customer service. Normally this is something the is included with a hotel stay but it cost us $25 each way. That was a small issue. The lady at the reception desk took a while to reply my request apparently because the info email doesn’t go to the receptionist. Frustrated I made an international call to be informed that my request has to go to (recepcion@savoyhotel.com.ar) Which is not listed on website. After being dropped off I asked our driver if he could pick us up early in the morning which he said yes. I also let the same receptionist that we needed to be picked up. This was NOT scheduled. By chance there was another driver 7 minutes away and there was not a lot of traffic so we only arrived a few minutes late to airport. I don’t need this stress during a vacation. Food sucked! Ravioli plate are frozen and of low quality. The milanesa “an Argentinian specialty” was tough around the edges. Our room was small, hot and window faced a wall (booked thru Expedia) Rate per night was under $100 but I wouldn’t stay there for free. The decor is cute and the hotel is in downtown Buenos Aires but not close enough to walk to La Plaza de Mayo ( need a short taxi ride.

What a beautiful and historic building. Check in was warm, friendly and welcoming. Was able to order coffee in bar/lounge while waiting for the room to be prepared. (had arrived early so not fault of hotel).
The hotel has had a partial renovation. The reception area was welcoming as was the room. Really large bedroom and bathroom with both bath and shower over. Room appeared clean and tidy. I had a room overlooking a courtyard so was lovely , peaceful and dark at night. The room also had blackout curtains so had good sleep which was much welcomed after a long haul flight from London.
As a lone female traveller i decided to eat at the hotel. The main restaurant does not open until late but meals can be ordered and consumed in the lounge bar. The food was presented well and was of good quality. (room service is also available)) The portion size is huge and was unable to consume it all.
There are many many corridors and found it a little confusing to find way to the lift but that's due to age of building. At the end of each corridor is an old portrait and have to admit a little creepy however this helped to find way to lift!!
Some areas are in need of renovation. In places the carpets are threadbare and in need of replacing. Also in certain areas The paintwork also needs to be re done. Some of the chairs in the lounge bar although in keeping with the age of hotel would benefit from being re-upholstered.
I dread to think of the cost this building would need to require a full make over. However, once completed it will be amazing.
The lifts are rather small.
Breakfast had a good and plentiful selection.
All in all i would recommend this hotel and also stay again.

I would like to highlight the cleanliness of this hotel, the comfort of its beds and pillows. Although the rooms facing Callao Avenue are very noisy at night you can hear traffic noise. It must also be said that it has a spectacular location. The interior and exterior construction of the building is majestic. The breakfast is quite acceptable. The unpleasant and annoying thing during my stay was the terrible attention from the reception staff to my claim for charging for a service (massage) not provided. I contracted the service at the hotel reception with certain characteristics (day, time, female masseuse, etc.). And they confirmed it to me right away. The night before the massage I left the room at 10:00 at night and when I returned at 12:30 I found a note under my door telling me that the company was sending a male masseuse. I immediately called the front desk and asked them to please cancel it because it was not what I had contracted. You expect a hotel of such a high standard to pamper its clients, apologize and accept their mistake. I received none of this, they charged me 10,000 pesos for the massage I had upon my arrival. By the way, it was very good and professional (with the masseuse Marisol) and they charged me another 10,000 pesos for the second one, which according to them I canceled. Having acknowledged to me during check out that it had indeed been a mistake by the company. In my opinion, the reception staff is trained to look at you with a poker face in these cases and not even answer you. That was the attention I received at the end of my stay. A real shame. And don't even bother answering me now. I'm just trying to share my experience so it doesn't happen to others. Greetings

Positive points of the hotel: good location, it is possible to walk to some tourist attractions of the center. The hall is very beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Bed linen and good quality towels. Negative points: It is a very old hotel, the floor range. The bathroom door is tempered glass, does not lock and has no acoustic insulation. The box door does not fence, so at bath time the floor outside the box gets wet. The room itself does not have a good acoustic insulation - from the hallway you hear the interior of the room and from the room you hear all the movement in the hallway. The breakfast lounge air conditioning is absurdly cold, so I recommend carrying a jacket.

El impuesto (creó que es para la ciudad de BA) era menos de 200 AR pesos. No había un depósito de garantía usando una tarjeta de crédito (no se si paga en efectivo).
It is in the area with all of the theatres, so lots of people out and about. As a single female, I found it really safe to walk in the area and the hotel staff will get taxis for you.
There are more places to choose from in the Buenos Aires area.
