Classic elegance, great service! Within walking distance from historical sites and restaurants, comfortable beds and a good breakfast menu. We had a small family emergency during our trip, the staff was very helpful, understanding and accomodating. Thanks for a great stay!
The hotel is in a very convenient location but STAY AWAY from it. I had the worst experience to the point that I didn't want come back at my room at the end of the day because of how LOUD the hotel is. It get even louder after 9pm, all i could hear is bom bom bom bom of someone walking so loud back and forth on my floor and above me that made it impossible to sleep. I even spoke to one of them and they couldn't understand me. The hotel is not for tourist who do not speak spanish as everything including the instruction on how to use safe, room service, restaurant menu is in spanish and all the tv channels are in spanish. breakfast was terrible and food at the restaurant wasn't that good either espcially since you barely know what you are reading on the menue and they don't speak English in the restaurant. The only people who spoke english were at the front desk. This was a horrible stay for me and I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY tourist and save yourself a headache. Even my AC stopped working and was never fixed…
Very beautiful hotel. With large rooms. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. Great location for all shopping and sight seeing. Is hotel has a very old appearance and is beautiful inside. I will stay here next visit!
Not just a great bargain but a great location. Beautiful historic interiors but modern well designed room. Front desk staff are superb. The breakfast (included) is bountiful. This will be my home in Buenos Aires on every visit.
This classic hotel has a baroque/theatrical atmosphere that I just loved. The place is a sight to see in itself. If I were a moviemaker, I'd film a movie here. Just beautiful. Everyone there was extremely helpful. Breakfast, included, was terrific.
I have been visiting BA for 25 years and have stayed at Hotel Savoy during many of them. It is no doubt the best hotel in Buenos Aires at its price range. The staff are the most polite, friendly and helpful. The lobby and cafe are are spacious, it has a great ambiance, with a mix of historic and modern. It is located at the center, very easy to hail a taxi right in front, safe with a gate and security personnel at night. The rooms are impeccable, beds are comfortable, and all perfectly clean. The breakfast is great with large selections including healthy ones. Savoy always turned my Buenos Aires stay into a happy one! Highly recommend it.
We arrived very early in the morning, around 9.00am and were able to check within about 45 minutes, which was very much appreciated. Ricardo at the front desk was very helpful. Our room # 508, was facing the road and had a tiny balcony. The room was clean and modern, but rather small. We had to push to bed over in order to open the balcony door and push it the other way in order to open the closet. The bathroom was huge and had all the amenities one could want. The bathtub enclosure (to transform it into a shower) was not very well designed and it left the bathroom floor totally wet. The lights and AC only work when the key is inserted into a 'reader', which means that when one is out of the room the AC does not work, which made our west facing room very warm and it took quite a while to cool down a bit. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, has a breakfast buffet included in the price and the breakfast room turns in a restaurant for lunch and dinner. There is also a very nice bar. We enjoyed the location, felt safe and would stay again.…
The hotel was located in an accessable position not far from two metro stations and a bus stop. Luckily there was double glazing as we had a room facing the busy main street. It was clean with reasonable space in each room, airconditioning, a safe and refridgerator. The staff could speak English well and were helpful. The sent us to an excellent restaurant not far away which was a little pricey but delicious and provided us with a free glass of champagne on presentation of our hotel voucher. A good breakfast was included but unfortunately the morning we were leaving on our 5am flight there was no option to have an early tray either the night before or the morning of our departure. Large bed was a little lumpy but bearable. The worst thing was that the wall separating the guest rooms was not soundproofed at all and the adjoining room"s noise created by the occupants and television woke us at 4.30am.…
Beautiful building with lots of history (see old pictures of famous guests everywhere:- including Einstein!). Room wasn't big, but adequate with nice en-suite. Food was good but service could be a bit slow at times. Elevators too small and not enough of them, but it would be a shame to wreck the lobby area to install bigger, modern ones as it is so atmospheric. Great security and porterage service at main entrance:- they get you a taxi in a flash! Position is also convenient for tourist hop-on hop-off bus route, only about two blocks away.
This place is just wonderful and impressing. You stay in the centre of Buenos Aires, can walk just right out of the hotel into interesting spots downtown. The rooms are big with modern bathrooms and lots of space in the closets.
