I got sent to this hotel by American Airlines after their flight was oversold. I don't think I ever stayed in a hotel this fancy before. I arrived at 1AM and they had room service with dinner covered by the hotel. They had a chicken breast and a salad plus a brownie for dessert. The next day the breakfast and...

The InterContinental Hotel in Buenos Aires is a lovely and very beautiful hotel. The room is very nicely done and the beds are extremely comfortable! Like sleeping on a layer of clouds! Wonderful! Fabulous shower with hot water and large tub to soak in if you wish. Not many English channels so bring your computer to work or play on...

This hotel is BRILLIANT. Everything during our two day stay was good. The reception was slick. We were in room 1309. This I a large room with a king sized bed. The bathroom was one of the largest I have had in any hotel. It contained a large shower cubicle with a powerful shower and a large separate bath. The...

All in all, the stay at this hotel has been pleasant. Rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The service in the hotel is good but not as extraordinarily as in other five stars hotels. An upgrade to Club level is definitely worth it. The rooms on the upper floors offer a beautiful view over Buenos Aires and the Club...

We booked this hotel for one night as a stopover between flights and since we got such a good rate, we didn't have any major expectations. The hotel may not be located in the nicest area of BA, but the service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The concierge was professional and helpful in making dinner reservations and the hotel...

I stayed for two days for business in Buenos Aires and was very pleased with the quality of the rooms. The decor and the quality of bedding was quite nice, so I was able to get a good night's sleep. The setup of the shower was a bit of an issue, with being tall, I did spray water throughout the...

I really liked the location of this hotel. It was in walking distance to some main areas in the city center. We were near a pharmacy as a well as little market to pick up items needed. The room felt contemporary. I must say that the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I must give a shout out...

Nice slightly old fashioned hotel in a very built up area. Excellent bar food and great restaurant for the evening. Clean and bright bedrooms although the traditional furniture made it look a little dated. Self service breakfast was nice and fresh with a selection of continental style meats, cheeses, fruits, bread etc. staff very helpful if limited English at times....

I have stayed in the hotel for several nights. The service of the staff is excelent! The staff is very kind and is very easy to contact. The rooms are large and very clean. The view over the city is also great if you have one of the rooms at the top floors. The gym is good! Not many hotels...

Rooms are well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The beds felt like giant feathers which didn't make it easy to get out of them. The restaurants were impeccable, fine food and wine but to be expected at the Intercontinental. All around we loved our time here and will stay here again.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
