This was a perfect stay in Buenos Aires. The staff was so professional and knowledgeable. The room was very special and the views were amazing. The hotel is located at a privileged location which makes the stay even more magical. Gracias a Camila, Juan & Martin at the bar, and everyone else that made this stay so special.
The hotel is very close to the obelisk. Great view of the 9 de Julio Ave. Close to public transit and many restaurants. Some rooms need updating and there were work crews when I stayed there. The front desk staff were very helpful. They have a nice breakfast area.No hair dryer in the room, but you can request one from the hotel staff. I would stay here again, if I had the chance.
Great location and service, the room was the only thing lacking in very outdated decor and furnishings (although, the room size was larger than expected). Otherwise, this is a great hotel for access to all restaurants and things to do in Buenos Aires. The spa and pool were under renovation (May '22) and were closed, but for an impressive view of the obelisque and main street at night head up to the fitness center. Also, it would be nice of management to offer their associates the right not to serve people while wearing face masks when they don't force guests to wear one. I don't appreciate the elitist undertone that sets as a guest and I would like to see staff treated as equals not 'lesser than'.
I thought I was coming to a ‘real’ 5-star hotel. I was here a couple of days ago and got a not-so-nice room . I complained and got a ‘better’ room. It certain is bigger and the bathroom is also a decent size BUT - there is no one to talk to.I wanted to ring the front desk - impossible!! The phone is just a decoration!! The can hear the people in the room next door is as if we’re in this room - the walls r paper thin!! The wallpaper is peeling in the bathroom and the cupboard doors are cracking. People in the corridor are soooo loud!! This place is certainly not what one expects a Marriott to be!
My husband and I traveled to Argentina for our honeymoon in early March and decided to stay at the Buenos Aires Marriott as it had great reviews and would allow us to relax after our long days of touring the city. It certainly did not disappoint as the views from the 16th floor were great and the service was outstanding. We were greeted by Macarena, who was extremely welcoming and attentive, and received a room on a higher floor as we had requested. The room had a very comfortable bed, great water pressure, and air conditioning – which was very much appreciated after long days of walking in the warm city. The hotel was within walking distance to all of the sites we wanted to see and all of the staff were very attentive. They allowed us to check in a bit early and helped us book a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay. The rooms were very clean and included a mini fridge and fresh daily linens. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and were blown away by how welcoming, attentive, and hospitable all of the staff were. They made our entire experience very relaxing and memorable and we would love to come back and visit again in the future!…
The Marriott Hotel is located in the centre of Buenos Aires and has the Plaza de la República at its doorstep. The hotel was built in 1981 and offers 2079 rooms over 23 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a nice, yet slightly outdated, atmosphere. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. In March we found spa & pool closed for renovations. We were upgraded to a spacious suite on the 20th floor. The tastefully furnished & decorated suite had desk & chair, fridge, coffee & tea facility, large bench & table, comfy-chair, flat-screen TV, and wardrobe & safe. The view of the Teatro Colón & the Obelisco was impressive. Day and night the busy Avenida de 9 Julio provides serious traffic noise. The room had an excellent king size bed, and a separate spacious bathroom with bath with view of the Avenida de 9 Julio, double washbasin, spacious shower, and a separate bathroom with toilet & bidet. All was speckless clean. The windows can be open in safety mode. Complimentary bathrobes & mineral water in the room and free Wi-Fi Internet. At floor 2 we found the club lounge, with a modest breakfast, coffee & tea, drinks, fruits and salad meals in the early evening. A mediocre buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant with an acceptable variety: fried eggs made to order, cold cuts & cheese, bread & toast, cereals, fruit, milk, yoghurt, fruit juice & preserves, rolls & croissants, tea and coffee. We found the Marriott Buenos Aires slightly outdated but very comfortable, and we had a nice stay. Recommended.…
I want to start by saying that my family always chooses Marriotts because we love their hotels, and they always have clean rooms and good service. this hotel was the same. the rooms were very nice and clean. nice big bathroom, and a very cool view of the Main Street 9 de Julio. the staff was also very nice, upgraded our room, and was super helpful with calling a taxi for us when we were trying to get to the airport. the reason I put 3 stars is because for the two nights that we stayed ( stayed in room 2027 on th 20th floor), whoever was above us started moving furniture very loudly dragging across the floor and walking on wood floors with heels from 1 in the morning until 3 Am, we even called the front desk to let them know to please stop so we could sleep, and they said they would. but the noise continued ( I could hear it through my earplugs). we called again and they said they will take care of it, but the noise continued. me and my husband could not sleep the two nights we were there, and when we finally were sleeping, were woken up again at 7 in the morning to the same loud sounds. We were disappointed that we were so tired those two days due to not being able to sleep. wish the hotel staff actually had taken care of that so we would have had a better stay.…
The location of the hotel is great. About one block from the Obelisk. Good base to take tours and explore Buenos Aires. Very safe and secure hotel. We had the privilege of meeting Florencia, the M club manager. She is the epitome of customer service. She helped us with maps/directions, local information, finding routine medical services and more. Every Marriott should have a Florencia! The housekeeping staff were great. A special thanks to Patricia and Maria. Alejandro at the reception desk was wonderful, always having a “yes” attitude. It was an everyday occurrence to see the General Manager checking on the building, guests and staff.
The main attraction of this property is the location: very close to the Obelisk, on one of the main avenues of the city In the center of town. Walking distance to many of the key sights in Buenos Aires. Service was helpful and friendly. Common areas like the lobby and elevators are ok. The room however felt VERY tired and past its prime. Overall though, decent value given the cheap price combined with the location.
Slightly old fassion hotel in the centre of Buenos Aires. I really enjoyed it. Perfect rooms. Clean and big. Nice beds. The bar is slightly boring. Very nice staff at the desk. They spoke quite good English. The internet connection was little to slow and they kicked you out very often. Very close to everything you want to do in BA.
