Stayed 2 nights 21-22 October before onward travel to Uruguay. Good but slightly tired ensuite, spacious room (201) with good facilities (incl. room safe), atmospheric public spaces, quite adequate breakfast in a nice street-front room adjoining reception. Lovely but small rooftop swimming pool and a very quaint but effective outdoor undercover gymnasium. Interior atrium-facing rooms would offer the greatest quiet,...

Highly recommend this hotel, central to everything, super friendly and helpful service. Very comfortable beds The bathrooms are a bit basic, and tight in space The breakfast is sufficient, but not amazing, no fresh fruit. The coffee was decent, which was a nice surprise as most hotels I've been to in South America make crap coffee Tip - request a...

Hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. WiFi is intermittent. That is the best I can say about this hotel. When my sister and I stayed here the aircon hadn't been working for 4 days so we had to open our doors for some air. It was like having the road run through your room and having the nightclub/bar across...

Blown away when we walked into our room. Mind you the door was already open, there was a dirty towel and robe behind the bathrm door and m&m shards on the polished floors. But apart from that, the space and high ceilings were appealing. Wifi is dire as per most hotels in South America. Is better in Reception. Finally a...

Great staff, so helpful, welcoming and kind. I started my South America journey here, the hotel was great location, very comfortable and well equipped with a very relaxing vibe. I can't say enough nice things about the staff so helpful and made my Buenos Aires so much better.

A stylish old-style hotel with a good restaurant and excellent breakfast. We had a tidy, very spacious room accessed via the courtyard. Unfortunately the "hot" water was luke warm at best the first night and there was no hot water at all throughout the second day, meaning we had to take cold showers and avoid using the hot tap which...

Dear Louis, Thank you for taking the time to give us your review! Unfortunatelly during your stay we had a problem with the hot water system. We were able to fix it during the day and, by the end of that, it was solved. We are very sorry about the inconveniences and we hope to take the chance to have...

We stayed here as our base in San Telmo. It's stylish, lots of art exhibitions in place, really friendly staff and so well located. You're minutes walk away from the Sunday San Telmo market, close to Casa Rosada and near Puerto Madero - the Puente de la Mujer bridge at night is really romantic. As a gay couple we were...

The location of this hotel is excellent and enabled us to visit the sights that we wanted to with ease. The staff were friendly and helpful and were eager to make our stay pleasant. Our room was beautiful and opened out onto the top level of the courtyard. Breakfast was very good. This hotel was definitely worth the money.

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
