We stayed 4 nights at the Esplandor hotel in February 2024, what a lovely hotel located right in the heart of the city. The reception staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful throughout the stay. We were able to walk to most sites around the city within 10-15 minutes. The neighbourhood felt very safe when walking around both day and night. There are plenty of shops, bars & restaurants within a couple of blocks, although I would recommend heading to the river area behind the Casa Rosada for some amazing restaurants and bars with a really nice atmosphere or Palermo area of the city which is a cheap taxi ride away. Breakfast at the hotel was more than adequate, plenty of choices with fruits, yoghurts, cereals, toasts, ham, cheese, eggs and different variety of pastries/cakes each day. There is a seasonal roof top swimming pool which was very refreshing after a day sightseeing in the heat, sadly the jacuzzi didn’t seem to work as that would have been nice to relax in. There is also a rooftop terrace with tables & chairs so you can relax outside. We had a superior room, this was a great size with 2 Juliet balconies, big bathroom and very comfortable beds. This hotel really is a little gem located in the heart of the city and when we come back to B.A, we will certainly look to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in a great central location! We were so happy to stay here for a few days following an Antarctic cruise. Check in was a breeze and reception crew was always there ready to help. The lobby is not large but gorgeous and leads into the dining room where they serve a very good European style breakfast. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, ours overlooking the outdoor dining terrace . An important feature in Buenos Aires in Jan, the ac had a remote control and worked quickly and excellently cooled down the room. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Port Madero and Mayo plaza for dining and shopping. Highly recommended hotel, surpasses the other hotels we e stayed in BA that are triple the price.

It is simply fascinating to see how some hotel establishments manage to reinvent the concept of comfort and hospitality in such a creative way. We had the unique opportunity to reserve a so-called “Concept” room at the last minute via the internet. It seems that ultimately the concept in question is how to deliver a room that is clearly designed to defy all conventions of what a decent hotel room should look like. If you have a particular affection for windows, look no further, because in this bedroom you will have the unique experience of their complete absence, as well as the very idea of a view. In their place, two 15 cm “murderers” majestically frame the bed, offering an exclusive perspective on the establishment's air conditioning units. A striking view of these works of modern engineering which you can admire in the photos provided, a visual and auditory experience not to be missed. Don't think about opening these loopholes, it makes more noise than the air conditioning in the room. Likewise, for the nightstands, forget them, not conceptual at all. Instead, two stools, one white and the other black. This is probably the key to the concept. In a courageous attempt to remedy this situation, I set out to change rooms. However, my hope was promptly quashed by the night manager, who vehemently opposed the idea, arguing that the hotel was full. The next morning, full of hope and good will, we headed to breakfast, hoping to compensate for the disappointments of the day before. But alas, a new disappointment awaited us. The breakfast, faithful to the spirit of the so-called "Concept" rooms, was conspicuous by the mediocrity of its concept. A few oozing cold meats and cheeses, barely released from their vacuum-packed plastic packaging, sat sadly in front of us. Industrial pastries and pastries, soft like forgotten memories, only accentuated our keen perception of this concept. And what about the coffee, bland, lukewarm and tasteless, you still had to pay extra to get an espresso. And as if to complete this picture of desolation with a view of goose poop green leatherette seats, barely ten past ten, all the scrambled eggs had already disappeared, even though the service was to continue until ten thirty. Fortunately, to get us out of this total hotel slump, the reception staff during the day were very courteous and undeniably helpful. All in all, if your idea of a comfortable hotel includes a decent breakfast, windows with a view, and a good dose of natural light, it might be wise to look elsewhere.

Was on vacation with my wife at Esplendor by Wyndham Buenos Aires Tango from January 24-30. The hotel is very central to all destinations, restaurants, supermarket on the corner and taxis galore. Walking around we fell safe and by walking we discovered a lot of different stores and restaurants. From day one, till we left, everything was excellent, thanks to all the friendly staff of the hotel who where very accomodating and helpful, especially the Front desk staff and the great service given by Iara, she was just wonderful. Anything you need they will try their best to accomadate you. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need including a mini bar, coffee maker, very comfy bed, pillows, black out curtains to sleep late and nice blankets, also TV with acces to your Netflix account. They also offer room service, which is very convenient when you are to tired to go out, must try the hamburgers! The included breakfast is very convenient and have a little bet of everything. Again need to mention Iara at the Front desk, she's the best!

The hotel is located in a very good area. It is located one block from 9 de Julio and two blocks from Café Tortoni. You are 6 blocks from the Obelisk and 5 from Plaza de Mayo and the pink house. Regardless of its location, the hotel has extremely high customer service, and I would say almost unprecedented for Latin America in general. The hotel is impeccable, it has a swimming pool and a very nice patio with tables on the rooftop, where you can uncork a wine or beer and eat a pizza or sandwich.

The Esplendor by Wyndham Buenos Aires Tango is a home away from home. The wall garden and restaurant is a breath of fresh (good) air, bringing you back to a time you can imagine of grandeur Buenos Aires. Thanks to our concierge for their care and helpfulness, Ignacio, in arranging our half-day city tour. Also, to acknowledge Juan Cruz, a four-keys concierge, who proactively communicated with us before our trip. His TIP: book your hotel room directly through the Wyndham website, or contact the reservations to match the lowest price to maximize your Wyndham points and rewards

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is small (around 40 rooms) and is just off the main avenue in Buenos Aires (9 de Julio), so very quiet and private. The area is very walkable and felt very safe. I had to add a day as our flight was changed to a day earlier. So our room on the first day was nice, but we got upgraded to a suite from the next day. The suite is large with a kitchenette, sitting area, king-size bed, and a large bathroom. We were given free champagne and water. The included breakfast was okay. The staff are super friendly and helpful and can arrange for tours, restaurant/show reservations, and change money. Great value, and I would highly recommend it.

Our room was a good size but it was a bit spartan. Just one small chair when there was enough room for another one or even a comfortable armchair. There was a good sized cupboard but when we arrived only 2 hangers we asked for 4 more but only got 3 which was okay for us. One day when we got back to our room about 3:30 it had not been cleaned. Front desk offered to have it cleaned right away but we did not want to be disturbed and asked for fresh towels which were brought right away. Bathroom was OK and shower strong with very hot water. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and some breads, good fresh fruit salad, yogurt and several sweet pastries, orange juice tea and coffee.

Location wise the hotel is easy walking distance to a lot of attractions and if you dont mind longer walks you can go to Palermo or La Boca. There is a small supermarket on the corner for drinks etc. Transfer wise about 30mins from EZE airport depending on traffic
Staff were friendly and helpful with exchanging money. You can contact via whatsapp.
We only had time for breakfast on two occasions and both were plentiful with pastries, meats, eggs and cereal.
We had a room on the 1st floor which appeared to have a generator of some kind nearby which some may not like so perhaps ask for a room higher up. A full length mirror in the rooms may also be useful as the tv is in a landscape mirror on the wall. Safe in the room was simple to use as was the aircon and shower.
Apparently all TV channels are in Spanish, something in English would be good for background noise when in the room for non Spanish speaking guests but not the hotels fault just a sidenote to guests booking.
Would recommend this hotel.
