The best choice made for the Argentina trip was staying at the B&B of Ada & Valentyn. The response to enquiries were quick. And all the information were timely and helpful. Fabulous location to venture around BA. Easily accessible to major attractions. Near "home", there is a laundry shop. And at the ground level of the apartment, a local grocery...

I spent three nights with Ada and Valentyn in September 2013 and enjoyed every minute. When I say I stayed with them I mean it - you stay in most B&Bs but they made me feel as if I was staying with them. They went so far as to invite me to their Milonga to watch Tango as it is...

We stayed with Ada & Valentyn for 4 days after our 2 week trip in South America. It was just a perfect ending of our trip to stay with such a fantastic B&B! The location is superb: great Cathedral, steakhouse, vintage shops, etc., are all in walkable distance and with laundry, supermarket just downstair. The bedroom is spacious and lovely....

We had a great stay at Ada and Valentyn's for a week: the building is beautiful and quiet, the rooms spacious and clean, the breakfast better than others in Argentina (home made bread and fruit!) and as a bonus we saw and learned the tango (Ada teaches Argentine tango). Good value for money. The only reason not to go there:...

I loved my stay and Ada & Valentyn's beautiful guesthouse and would highly recommend it to all types of travelers. I felt extremely welcome there and was given great information and guidance on Buenos Aires. The rooms and bathrooms are beautiful and clean. The included breakfast was delicious. The location is very central and great for reaching all the popular...

Ada and Valentyn were very welcoming, giving us lots of helpful advice about Buenos Aries whilst showing us round their beautifully restored apartment. They organised for us to go to a Tango show, recommended restaurants (fantastic steak house) and even left us a personalised letter with more info. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the shared bathroom was right...

great place, great people. Ada and valentyn are very nice and they are willing to help you in anything, i loved to stay there for 2 weeks, it was very comfortable and quiet and clean of course. It is the typical argentina house, very nice and the rooms are big enough.

My stay at Bed and Breakfast Ada & Valentyn was fantastic. Ada and Valentyn tend to their guests with great care, and were extremely helpful and communicative when fielding emails and questions. I had a single room with a shared bathroom for three nights and everything was perfect. The room was immaculate and had a very comfortable bed, a chair...

It was very difficult to know how to rate this B&B. Ada and Valentyn are obviously working really hard to create a great B&B in Buenos Aires, however, it wasn't great for us. The building the B&B is located is in a fab location right in the centre of BA and just round the corner from Plaza de Mayo. It...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
