The hotel was outstanding. The room was gorgeous and a nice size. The location was a pretty, tree-lined neighborhood with many restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool had shaded areas which is essential in Argentina with the sun being so strong. The food for breakfast and dinner at the attached Uco restaurant was mouthwateringly delicious. The portions were just right too. This is a perfect hotel.
I can't say enough good things about our family's experience with the Fierro Hotel. It had been 20 years since our last visit to Buenos Aires and we were welcomed with open arms by the superb hotel staff. The hotel is located in Palermo, one of the nicest parts of the city, with many beautiful parks, shops and fantastic restaurants. The hotel is incredibly clean and well appointed, the rooms are spacious, beds incredibly comfortable and showers were excellent. The Relax Pool on the rooftop was a favorite of our kids. And the hotel restaurant and staff were lovely--the included breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit yogurt parfaits, bread/croissants with jams and dulce de leche, fresh squeezed orange juice and champagne and several choices for a hot breakfast. Above all, the hotel staff was kind, helpful and welcoming and gave us many good recommendations for restaurants, things to see, and getting around the city. Thank you, Hotel Fierro; we will be back!…
This hotel was located in the Palermo area of Buenos Aries. It turned out to be a great area for restaurants and easy access to city highlights. Safe to walk in also. The room was wonderful, the service excellent, breakfast provided was also excellent with multiple custom egg selections. Roberto was wonderful at providing night caps. We'd stay here again.
Superb service. No request was too much. Great room. Pool is wonderful place to cool off during hot days. Breakfast and lunch in restaurant were wonderful. Perfect place for our 1st visit to BA. Can't recommend highly enough!
The hotel had someone waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. As we pulled up to the door someone came outside to help us in. I felt like royalty-very out of place for me. The rest of the experience was equally, pleasantly astonishing. The cleaning staff, the waitresses, the bartender, and front desk people were all incredibly helpful. One example: they arranged for an early (7 AM) cab to the port for the ferry to Uruguay. The gentleman at the front desk scratched his chin and said "Hmmm, our kitchen will not be open that early. But if you like, we can send up some yogurt and cereal and toast for you at about 6:30, if that would be convenient?" Perfect. We hadn't even thought of about breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the in-house breakfast is fresh and wonderful and more than I could possibly eat. You can dine indoors or outside in the lush garden terrace. Did I mention the rooms? There are only four rooms on each floor, so they are very spacious. King bed, full sofa, chairs, table, large bathroom, wet bar, etc. We really felt at home and there are plenty of good restaurants just a short walk away. And for a Nightcap-a drink from the bar, and an ice cream from the gelato place next door, made for a great end to each evening. …
We stayed at the Fierro Hotel for 2 nights and really liked the hotel. It has a city hotel feel (as opposed to a more generic corporate feel) -- the pictures on the website reflect this. The room was very clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom and nice beds/linens. Only two Nespresso pods are complimentary each day in the room but there is excellent barista-style coffee available in the dining area. Every staff member we met was extremely helpful and welcoming, and all spoke English fluently. They gave advice for touring, made restaurant reservations, booked a tango show for us and helped with taxi planning. The hotel breakfast is very good--both hot and cold selections, all of which were home-made, including the breads. We ate breakfast in the outdoor garden area each morning because the weather was perfect. We had dinner at Aldo, an Italian style restaurant a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and had an excellent meal in their outdoor garden area. MAKE SURE that when you exchange currency in Buenos Aires that you use the cambio (or blue market) rate. During our visit, the cambio rate was 370 pesos/US dollar as opposed to the official rate of 202 pesos/US dollar. The hotel staff can direct you on currency exchange. When shopping, the US dollar is widely accepted, so you don't necessarily have to have Argentine currency for transactions, just know your exchange rates! We visited the open air feria market, and the few purchases we made were all quoted at the blue market rate when their merchandise cost was listed in pesos. The market is a worthwhile excursion but is only open on Sundays. We found taxis to be inexpensive and reliable. The tango show provided pick up and drop off at the hotel as part of the package cost. We did not include dinner as part of the show price as it is much less expensive to have dinner on your own.…
Great location about 15-20 minutes from hustle of tourist areas ($4-5 US taxi ride). Hotel in the heart of Palermo Hollywood, great walking neighborhood with plenty of dining options. Delicious breakfast daily consisting of homemade yogurt, pastries and fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, etc. plus a menu of accompaniments like Irish breakfast, eggs, pancakes and fruit (also included). Staff are attentive and top notch. Called me by name almost immediately and always greeted me warmly when I came and went. Room was perfect, great size! King bed, plus an entire seating area with sofa and a small round table with two chairs, flat screen tv, wet bar, stocked wine cooler, mini bar/fridge, Nespresso machine, and plenty of storage space for snacks. There are several corner stores where you can purchase drinks and snacks to keep on hand all week. AC worked great (it was a VERY hot week). Bathroom was great with nice toiletries, a hair dryer, bath robe and rain head shower. The pool was lovely and I enjoyed cooling off daily. The hotel was able to arrange airport transportation for me both upon arrival at Ezeiza and departure from my hotel. I would absolutely return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Fierro.…
Perfect boutique hotel in Palermo. Room was clean and spacious and bed comfortable. Staff was excellent from timely response to emails and making restaurant reservations and helping us convert our currency. We left something in the room and they sent us a message on WhatsApp so we were able to pick it up when we got back to BA after our Antarctica cruise. Would stay here again when we return to BA.
I hesitate to write such a positive review, b/c I want to keep Fierro a secret. I love, love, love this place--my 2nd time there and in itself almost worth the 12 hr. trip to BA. Large comfortable rooms and bathrooms, large living area with sofa. Super clean and tidy. Wonderful, helpful staff--made several restaurant reservations for us. Great location in Palermo Hollywood--can walk just about anywhere, to restaurants, bars and wonderful independent shops. Excellent, substantial breakfast with multiple choices for main dish--thankfully, not a buffet!
All was per the other reviews. Staff is super friendly and helpful, breakfasts were amazing and rooms are clean even if they start to get a bit old. Location of the hotel, in Palermo Hollywood is perfect if you want to discover BA walking. Will be back
