Hotel's Favourite

I can't say enough good things about our family's experience with the Fierro Hotel. It had been 20 years since our last visit to Buenos Aires and we were welcomed with open arms by the superb hotel staff. The hotel is located in Palermo, one of the nicest parts of the city, with many beautiful parks, shops and fantastic restaurants. The hotel is incredibly clean and well appointed, the rooms are spacious, beds incredibly comfortable and showers were excellent. The Relax Pool on the rooftop was a favorite of our kids. And the hotel restaurant and staff were lovely--the included breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit yogurt parfaits, bread/croissants with jams and dulce de leche, fresh squeezed orange juice and champagne and several choices for a hot breakfast. Above all, the hotel staff was kind, helpful and welcoming and gave us many good recommendations for restaurants, things to see, and getting around the city. Thank you, Hotel Fierro; we will be back!

We were lucky enough to visit this hotel as part of a tour of Argentina and Chile. From start to finish this hotel provided us with excellent hospitality. A lovely boutique hotel in a quiet area but within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants and the metro which was so easy to use. The staff at the Fierro went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable; a special thank you to Roberto and Melisa on reception and Victoria in the restaurant. The breakfasts were so good and tailored to what you wanted rather than buffet style. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and sampled their mini tasting menu - excellent value for money. Another great touch was the free wine and cheese tasting on one evening of our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a small boutique hotel, delivering first class hospitality in a great location in Buenos Aires.

I can not say enough about this hotel! The outside is very unassuming but once you enter you are greeted by a lovely staff and relaxed ambiance. We arrived early before our room was ready and not only did they store our bags, they also let use the amenities on the top floor to freshen up. This includes the pool, sauna and bathroom with a shower, towels, everything.

Other highlights: the rooms are massive and the beds are great. The pool is secluded and the perfect size to take a dip from the hot Buenos Aires sun. The location is PERFECT if you enjoy walking to local places. We could have spent our whole time just walking around Palermo - there are an abundance of bars, shops, restaurants right nearby. You are also close to the Palermo parks so you can easily rent bikes to spend a day at the park. Truly a perfect location to feel like you are in the heart of the city. Also, the freshly made breakfast everyday is one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had! Freshly made every day. They also have a free wine tasting in the evening in the garden.

Lastly, I have to say about the service. We arrived in Buenos Aries right before the WHO deemed Covid-19 a pandemic and travel restrictions started to get put in place around the world. This of course led to a lot of travel confusion (could we get home, how could we get home, were we still welcome at our hotel, etc). The front desk staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful to us. They helped us call and speak to our future reservations (since we were planning on traveling) and helped arrange transportation, etc. Really cannot say enough about them and we will definitely be staying there again the next time we are in Buenos Aires.

We were hugely impressed by this hotel. The room was exceptionally large, stylishly appointed and thoughtfully laid out. The overall cleanliness was of the highest standard and the little extras were equally stylish and thoughtful. A nespresso coffee machine with complimentary 'bullets' plus a very generously stocked minibar, very reasonably priced, were much appreciated. The quality of the room service meals and breakfast was also first class. Service was prompt, friendly and obliging. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels that provided a standard of accommodation and service well below that of Fierro.
I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

This was a great way to start our journey in Buenos Aires! The hotel is located in Palermo Hollywood so for reference it’s about a 50 min drive from Ezeiza (intl flights), 15-20 min drive from Aeroparque (domestic flights), and 20-25 min drive from the main tourist sights. However, Palermo Soho has a good food scene/nightlife and was within walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe even when walking around at night.

Our floor only had 4 rooms (5th floor) and overlooked the patio below. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, had a nice seating area, wet bar, and it was convenient there were a couple of desktop power converters.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The pro-activeness of the email communications we received from the time we booked, to making sure we had plans for Christmas Eve, to seeing if we needed help with getting around were wonderful.

The heated pool and area are small but it was nice and relaxing. We ate at UCO twice – great breakfast, which was included with our reservation, and their Christmas Eve dinner was amazing.

The room was spacious, comfortable, modern, and had many nice features that went beyond what was expected. I enjoyed taking my morning coffee (nespresso) on the large balcony and the excellent bathroom and shower (which included a washcloth, one of many small thoughtful touches that added up to a very pleasant stay). The staff was responsive and helpful. This hotel is well located and a great value. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Buenos Aires.

Argentina has a closed currency so can only exchange cash within the country. There is a Banco de la Nacion to the right behind you in arrivals hall of terminal A, but exchange rate was only 224 to £! You can get double the exchange rate if you use the Western Union app! Open an account and send yourself money to the account, to collect at the WU branch 20 mins from the hotel (there will be a queue).

Get Taxiezeiza radio taxi inside airport, cost A$7,500 to the hotel, pay by card, takes 45 mins.
If get a taxi outside pay cash in exact peso (ensure fixed rate, or check they use the meter)

We had a superior double room, 41 sqm, with king bed (very comfy), sofa, table & chairs, only 6 clothes hangars provided, breakfast is from 8-11 served to you in the UCO restaurant on the ground floor, bathrobes (slippers are not available), good wifi, tv (includes all the main streaming services), Nespresso coffee & tea, 750ml bottle of water provided each day, stocked drinks & wine fridges, corkscrew, safe (inc size for laptop), good air con, US & Euro type plug sockets, rain shower head, hairdryer.
There is a very small pool on the top floor, with 6 sun beds.

The following are available at reception: iron & board , toothpaste & brush, shaving kit, sanitary products, shoe polish, sewing kit, make-up mirror.

Palermo has shops, restaurants, bars & lively nightlife. It is cheap for everything!
Go to Distrito Arcos 10 mins from hotel for outlet shops & outdoor drinks.
We eat at Dandy Grill & at Il Gran Caruso (Italian). Don Julio is recommended by many, but book before you go.
Walk to Parque Tres de Febrero for boating lake, rose gardens, water features, cafe.
There is a Japanese gardens next to there

To use the Subte metro, go below street level on green line D from Carranza to Catedral for Plaza de Mayo. Need to buy a contactless rechargeable Subte card, includes buses (which are no cash), cards sold at kiosks, add credit with cash only at kiosk, can use 1 card for 1 or 2 or more persons, any journey is only A$100.

You can walk San Telmo & Puerto Madero areas from the city centre, or get bus or taxi.

For Caminito, at Catedral station go across the plaza to the right of where the pink building is and get the 64 bus, or taxi.

After you stay the hotel will book a taxi to airports or cruise port. To AEP airport it takes 20 mins, fixed price A$3,200, give correct cash.

We would very much recommend the Fierro Hotel for your stay, could not fault it all!

Accommodations were excellent, even though we were "quarantined" by the local authorities (our last night) due to the corona virus threat. Hotel management was more than accommodating and the delicious, perfectly cooked, one kilogram T-bone steak from their restaurant was over the top. OK, we did have two bottles of very nice Argentine wine too... I usually don't take the time to review places, but Fierro is an exception!

Such an amazing hotel! From the minute we arrived, the staff went out of their way to help us. After leaving our luggage with the front desk as we arrived prior to check in, we were offered coffee and croissants, along with use of the garden, pool, or showers. They also helped us navigate our way around town, find a place to exchange our money, and more. The restaurant offered a great selection and our breakfast each morning was way more food than we could eat! Even better, the staff remembered our breakfast preferences from day to day, which made us feel at home. We booked the Terrace Suite and could not have been happier - the beds and chairs were so comfortable, the bathroom was great, and the deck and hot tub were amazing! We ended up spending more time in the center of the city than we expected so we did have to take a lot of taxis, but the Palermo neighborhood was great and felt very safe. Next time we return to Buenos Aires, we will definitely stay here again!

Dear Y9525YIsarak: Thanks a lot for taking the time to review us. At Fierro we believe a close attention to details is key to how special a guest's stay will be, our staff will always go out of their way to ensure every possible need is catered for. We want everyone staying with us to be able to relax and truly appreciate Buenos Aires for the wonderful city it is! So we are delighted to know you´ve felt our good service from the very beginning. It´s true, we offer to take care of your luggage, a cup of coffee, and croissants, along with the use of the garden, pool, or showers for those whose room is not ready when you arrive early in the morning, and the room is still occupied. Our staff works exceptionally hard to make sure all our guests' needs are met, it is important to us that they feel comfortable and taken care of. Part of the charm of a boutique hotel is that our guests are like family and not just numbers to us, if we can help, we'll gladly do so in any way we can. Great choice booking the terrace suite, with your own terrace, jacuzzi and barbecue, so great you could enjoy it. It´s beautiful!!! We are happy to read you'd choose us again and hope to welcome you back soon, Best regards,

We encountered problems with my wife’s passport at the immigration while entering Argentina and were directly sent back to Switzerland with the same plane we arrived. Although I wanted to describe the wrong information I received from embassy and offered guarantees in from of cash deposit. Should I had put some bill in my own passport ? Not to describe the unfair impolite harsh discriminating and racist behavior of two officials towards my wife at the immigration offices. She was treated like a criminal and delinquent person.

We had a fixed reservation without the option for any free or partial cancellation at this hotel. When I called the hotel from the airport they expressed their compassion and very politely told me not to bother.
Very generously they credited us for the full amount to be used within the next 18 months for our planned next visit.
We appreciate this generosity and want to send our many thanks to Laura and the person at the reception desk who answered so kindly my phone call.
