I stayed here 4 different times during the month of January. Everyone at the front desk were super kind, professional and friendly. The rooms were big, super clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was great, a couple blocks from obelisk and colon theater. Super safe at night and a lot of restaurants and bars literally next door. I would totally recommend this hotel.
Great customer service, very friendly staff. Hotel food was great! Right in the heart of downtown bounes Aires! Lots of things to do and see around hotel. Rooms didn’t have a mini bar And the pool is actually extra.
Great Location! Great front desk staff! They were always helpful. Very clean hotel. Good adequate breakfast. Good restaurants near by. Lots of life at night- theatre goers, etc. Feel safe on this street.
I’m a All Gold member and I’ve just checked in at the hotel Ibis Buenos Aires Obelisco. It was one of the worst check in experiences I’ve ever had. The front desk person was impatient, answered in a rude way my questions and when I’ve asked if my stay was crediting points, he said that the hotel doesn’t account on All if it’s a corporate reservation. I’m a frequent traveler (stayed 54 nights in 2019) and just stayed in a Accor hotel last week in Brazil (Mercure São Paulo Pamplona) using the same reservation process and had no problem at all with it. He also refused to provide my welcome drink, and kept saying that I didn’t had the right of having it in a very rude manner. On the top of it, he has lied to me and other two work colleagues staying at the same hotel just to get rid of us, saying that the room had USB outlets while it didn’t. I’m very disappointed with the experience I’ve had, and would like to have confirmation from my stay credits, my welcome drink issued and also an apology from the hotel staff. I’ll never stay on this hotel again. After travelling for long hours, I just wanted to have a good rest, and not being embarrassed by an unwelcoming front desk person. Tried to send this message thru the contact form of the complaint session of Accor Hotels site, but it didn’t work. So, it’s better to publish it for everybody, so please chose another hotel. It’s not worthy to stay here, even more if you’re a frequent member. …
We booked 2 rooms both were in very poor condition .Carpet , cushions , not very clean and torn. In one room , water in the bed during night due to water leak in the ceiling . Change of room ... In the mean time , staff , welcome , very good but a bad stay due to lack of maintenance.
Located on a super busy street with lots of shops, restaurants, theatres etc all around you. Half the street becomes pedestrianised in the evenings! Its a bit like Buenos Aires version of time square/broadway. The best thing was how welcoming the staff were. They were the friendliest and most helpful that I encountered during my stay in Argentina! The Obelisco is just down the street and its about a 25 min walk to Casa Rosada. The air con in the hotel is fantastic and the wifi works well.
Centrally located hotel in the theatre area. Metro station nearby and lots of eateries. Standard Ibis features, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
The location of the hotel is central to most activities in Buenos Aires that are within walking distance. The hotel staff were able to speak English and were very helpful. The all inclusive breakfast was convenient and quick with most everything to start off your day. The room was small but is what we selected and I suggest a few more pesos to secure a larger room in the future.
Stayed here for one night before heading up to Iguazu. We arrived around 11 am. They gladly stored our luggage and we headed out to grab lunch. We were given a room around 1 pm on the 4th floor. The room is small but functional. The AC did not work well so the room was always warm and stuffy. We would open the door because the hallway was very cool. TV only has Spanish language Channels. The breaks was pretty good with scrambled and hard boiled eggs. Lots of breads and cereal. Some fruit. The coffee and juice was good. We ate dinner at the pizza place next door. Very inexpensive if you stand. $6 for three slices a beer and a coke. For a short stay this place is fine.
It's a great location, near the metro, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There always seemed to be taxis waiting outside, or outside Pizza Guerin next door. The staff were helpful and friendly, mostly with very good English. You know what to expect from an IBIS room - it was clean and comfortable, but a little bit spartan. I would happily pay a few extra pounds and have a bottle of water and maybe a kettle. Housekeeping was mostly fine but a bit erratic in the number of towels and whether they changed them. The breakfast was the standard buffet, which was fine. I had one lunch. It was good, with very pleasant service (in Portuguese !) but a bit expensive by BA standards. Generally a very pleasant and comfortable stay
