This is a hostel where you better not stay. We stayed there for a week in a matrimonial room and it was the worst hostel in all of Argentina. Some examples to illustrate: 1) Excursions are offered online and in a booklet, but when you want to book one, nobody of the reception is able to help or book it. 2) If you do not speak fluent Spanish, you should not go. There is nobody who speaks a word of English. 3) The cleaning ladies are manning the reception. Furthermore, they are very loud in general. Their cellphones ring constantly, they talk really loud...In general, they give an 'i don't care' impression. 4) It takes about 20 min before there is hot water in the shower. 5) The room was not cleaned every day. 6) The air ventilation system in the bathroom is incredibly loud. 7) When it rains, water enters the main breakfast area. This is really bad and extremely annoying. 8) Also really annoying is that we were refused to pay when we wanted. We had some problems with our card and wanted to pay later but we were told we had to wait longer. The person behind the counter did not know how to do the payment. 9) Really filthy bed covers So if you are thinking of going to this hostel, please do not and look for something else.

I have checked in at the Amable Hostel in Buenos AIres for one night only. U$S 41 a night including breakfast means that you are not getting the Rochester or the Ritz service. Having said that, the cleanliness at the hostel leaves a lot to be desired. From finger smudges on door knobs to hairs on beds, floor and the shower cubicle this is something that should be easy to fix (Cleaning after every guest thoroughly should do it). The towels and soap promised for single standard rooms were not present; I had to ask for it at reception. There was no safe and you will have to make your own bed. There are certainly more expensive-worse options around but I will think twice before booking at the Amable Hostel again. Advice: Avoid if possible.

It´s an ok hostal, although most of the days there was no breakfast. The single room has three beds and there is not much cleaning done, even when you request it.

Amable is a totally new hostel in Buenos Aires, run by a group of young porteños. The interior is brand new, in contemporary style with tiled bathrooms, air condition and cable tv (including English language programmes). There is WiFi and computers, a sun deck and the compulsory asado (barbecue grill). Each room as a safe for valuables. The staff is just great (they speak basic English), and they go out of their way to help you with everything. And best of all, it isn't expensive! The location is a bit away from the main sights, but it's only a short ride by Subte downtown, and taxis are cheap. The area has a wide range of cafés and restaurants, and there isn't a tourist in sight.
