The hotel is located in the heart of Buenos Aires, close to the Colón Theatre, legendary restaurants such as Zum Edelweiss and the most important theatres of the city on Corrientes Avenue, which is the equivalent of Broadway in the southern cone. The decoration of the room is modern and if you travel for work you have almost all the possible plugs in the world and you have a well illuminated work area comfortable for teleworking. Definitely one of the best options for visiting Buenos Aires.
From the moment I arrived, I knew I picked the right hotel. I didn't find any problems as were listed in some earlier reviews, at all. The front desk staff was professional and friendly, the room was immaculate and spacious. The location is excellent with the subway just at the corner. The outdoor terrace was perfect for my afternoon latte. If you're visiting Buenos Aires
We stayed in Novotel in Buenos Aires, near the obelisk, for two nights. The personnel there were distantly friendly but not too helpful or knowledgeable about how to address problems. We had some strange row of lights in our room that flashed green and red like a disco. We reported it via house phone and were told it would be fixed. This was around 6pm. We went out and returned at midnight to see it still going, and without any other lights on in the room, it stood out truly like we were at some kind of nightclub. We went to the front desk, and the worker directed to turn off any of many various light switches, which I assured him I had tried many times. He said to try again, which I did, and then had to call him back when it still didn't work. He made the trip to our room (808) and assessed it as "something is wrong". At that point, he said the only thing to do was to move rooms. This at midnight, when we could have moved at 6 when originally reported. We were tired and checking out following morning so did not want to move, despite the bad conditions. We slept under pillows and blankets to block out the flashing lights, which actually seemed frightening as potentially causing some brain issues! We have a 19 second video but this page does not allow to show it. Somehow, the following day as we packed to leave, the lights miraculously had turned off - no idea how as we no longer were trying all the light switches. This was poor management and customer service at the least. It left us with a bad perception of Novotel as a chain and certainly this location. Too many other options in a great city.…
I chose this hotel due to its location near city attractions. Hotel is located next to Pizzería Güerrin. There were many restaurants near the hotel. Tango Porteño is within walking distance. Subway station and bus stops are nearby. Hotel wi-fi was easy to access and relatively fast. Room safe was large enough for my laptop. An unstocked mini-fridge is supplied. There is also a kettle supplied. Closet is spacious. Bathroom had a shower but no tub. Toilet and bidet were in a separate room next to the shower and sink. No facecloth, robe, nor slippers are provided. The front desk staff was also very helpful in printing out my Covid test result. Room was comfortable. Elevator and rooms are controlled by key cards. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. There is an outdoor pool and fitness centre but I didn’t get a chance to use them. The only negative was that there were no English-language TV channels.…
The hotel is very central and within walking distance of the many sights of the City. We were there for New Years Eve and the hotel made an effort to see that guests could celebrate with Music a meal and dancing. The reception staff were very helpful in recommending place to dine and trips. We were lucky in that we found a traditional restaurant in Recoleta, Fervour, and a traditional dinner and tango show Almeida. Both recommendations by the hotel. The room was cleaned daily and the breakfast was a morning feast, All in all a fabulous week in a great City.
