Absolutely adored the hotel and friendly staff! Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and thought it was closed, but no, just the gate was locked. The staff (Lucas, Ignacio, Norma and Pierre) really went out of their way to make you feel relaxed and at home. Room very comfy and the breakfast was gorgeous! It was the most relaxed hotel I...

I read both the positive and negative reviews on TripAdvisor and I think they are probably all accurate - depending on your expectations and what room (and employees) you get on what day. I would say the place is more Bohemian than Boutique. It's very homey and comfy in a slightly worn way with rugs, pictures, books, old wood furniture,...

Great service, clean rooms and and excellent location! Breakfast is simple but well made, and goes until later hours (which is great if you are not a morning persons, as myself). Staff is kind and provide recommendations about the city. I would stay again!

We stayed four nights at Rugantino, we highly appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is relatively simple, but certainly serves as a base to explore the city. The neighborhood is perfect, good restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast is great.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a triple room. It was a nice room, clean and comfortable. The location is great and you can walk to pretty much anything you need in Plaza Armenia or Plaza Serrano plus the Subte is close by so you can really access the whole city. We found that it was great value, and...

I stayed for 1 night and fortunately spent 2 days at the hotel, although I went out with a friend we enjoyed the breakfast and some moments at the cozy lobby and nice chats with the guys that run the business. The hotel offers the usual services but mostly gives that sensations of being at home. Nice decoration, good ambience......

Loved this gorgeous small boutique hotel in Palermo. The rooms were very quaint and the decor of the hotel gorgeous. Lovely small roof area to imbibe and cosy lounge to relax and play cards, and the breakfast ... traditional Argentinian pastries, cheese, ham and toast. Lots of lovely small bars in the vicinity and a real personal family-run feel. Loved...

Great location, colourful courtyard and roof-top terrace. Good breakfast. Lovely staff who set up a spontaneous asado and invited all of the guests for really small money. Like this we had a great first evening in Argentina and BA with delicious food, international and local people who made us feel welcome. Thank you!

My two friends and I booked for two nights, one in December and one in January as Buenos Aires was a transit city for our destination down south. I am not sure I will call it a hotel, but it is more like a B&B. The fenced door was locked with a questionable door bell that you were not sure...

We feel sorry our customers were unable to appreciate our concept of turism. Rugantino is maybe not suitable for late night arrivals and for one night stay/transit. We apologize the day of arrival last December, there ware a not welcome English-speaking staff temporarily on vacation. The customers, even though the staff had found another hotel for their needs, thay had...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
