This hotel was just ok, but extremely overpriced for what you get Good points: Room was spacious and clean Beds large One person on the desk was very helpful and friendly I think her name was Dafne The ladies in the restaurant were helpful Negatives: The room was very noisy and kept hearing what sounded like drilling every 10 minutes. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever experienced and I’ve stayed in £8 a night hotels in south east Asia so that’s saying something. The food choice is extremely lacking, basically just a few croissants and some stale bread with jam, the breakfast ends at 10am we got there at 9:45 and they started clearing all the food away before we had a chance to get much. Terrible customer service. The hotel rules that are printed out in your room come across as rude and over the top - you’re not allowed food or drinks in your room or they will charge you 100 dollars, never heard of something so ridiculous. Beds are very firm and pillows not comfortable. The shower head looked like it was barely hanging on and leaked over the top. The hotel has potential but is far away from meeting any expectations.

I'm not sure where to start with this review other than saying there was both good and bad elements to this stay. My general feeling is that this hotel has the bones to be great, and perhaps was at one time, but it has the hallmarks of being neglected and management cutting too many corners to protect their margins. With a bit of attention and small investment in key areas it could be great again. Good: Staff are always friendly with a hello and goodbye even if just sharing a lift. The view from the higher floors is amazing hence the name of the hotel. Good size swimming pool with a kids pool as well. Very good location near Subte stations/taxis, impressive entrance and lobby, and good sized rooms. Bad: Let's start with the breakfast. We stopped going it was so bad. It's just rock hard medilunas (sweet croissants), and rock hard bread (felt like toast but wasn't toasted). There was coffee, juice, and a yogurt drink and some cereal. Despite the number of staff they continued to run out of items (especially milk as the jug was tiny and people needed it for cereal and coffee) ) and guests needed to ask and stand around waiting for a refill. They have a long counter space as you walk in that isn't used and they put everything on a small island. If they introduced a more continental breakfast with meats/cheese (with fresh bread/ facturas) and used their space better it would make a great difference. I also have to say they have very strict no food and drink allowed to be brought into the hotel, if caught they charge you an extra night fee. When they serve food this bad and won't even let you bring in a bottle of water it's just wrong. There are plenty of places to eat nearby so book room only if you can and head out. Housekeeping, I feel badly about putting them in this category as overall I found the rooms were clean. We had to use the cushion of the sofa one night for our baby cot and wow, the disgusting mess under the cushion was gross. When we reported this it was cleaned well the following day. The shower screen was immaculate (hard to do) but the windows were not. The soap dispensers were broken from their clips on the wall. There were only two towels in the room for two of us and a baby. We asked for a bath mat towel and two additional medium towels for drying our hair. Housekeeping were great and delivered these to us promptly but the next day they were taken and not replaced again. The pool water was green, tiles broken/missing, and the sun loungers stained brown and looked like they had never been washed. There was a pool cleaner every morning who did a good job with the cleaning of the water but it just needs some attention and investment to be good again. The lifts/Elevators. They have three but for the whole week we were there one lift was broken and they operated on two. With 26 floors it was a long wait for a lift, especially on the higher floors. Power. As mentioned, the view is excellent until the Hotel loses power and you need to check out. I woke up boiling hot at 7am to discover we had no AC and no power. The phone wouldn't work to call reception so I had to walk down from the 22nd floor with my one year old baby in my arms. No emergency lighting in the stairwell so I had to use the flashlight on my phone and carry the baby without falling. Staff said it was a pre arranged outage by their supplier but that they hadn't been informed. It would be out until at least 11am but I needed to catch a taxi to the airport at 10am. I went to a McDonalds to get wifi and fill out the customs covid declarations and book my taxi. I then had to climb the stairs back to the 22nd floor to pack. I appreciated one of the maintenance team who came to help me carry the bags back down. No compensation though, and no apology and it seems like a usual thing rather than a one off. I highlight these small things so if you decide to book you can request a room no higher than the 10th floor and room only rather than breakfast. I also hope management will read this in the hopes it helps them identify areas of improvement so their hotel can be great again.

This hotel is not in the centre of things, but neither is it in a bad district.Taxis are very cheap in BA but the drivers don't know where the hotel is ! So carry the address with you. The staff are really helpful and interested in your needs and it has a really nice swimming pool, which is so welcome in the middle of Summer. The staff can't do enough for you whether it be calling you a taxi or printing off boarding cards. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The room was huge and the shower lovely.

I stayed there last week during a conference . The rooms are fine , the food is average. There is no Bar or a place to have coffee or a snack, there is no place to sit with people and the swimming pool is attached to one of the conference halls so you cant really use it when there are people. The location is a bit off the city center, and the shops around it and the whole area closed early in the evening and it feels unsafe to wonder around. I had a very upsetting and uncomfortable event when the front desk claimed that they cant accept payment in cash , and if I like to pay cash they have to add to the price 21% tax! !!! They made me pay with my credit card, although I explained that its a privet card and that i would pay more due to currency change rates , and that I have the full amount in cash ready to pay. So, if you have too.... its ok to stay there, but if you have an alternative- go for it.

Staff was excellent and helpful. Appreciated them help book local trips. Good breakfast. Full selection. Swimming pools were cold. Never saw one person using them. Great gym equipment. Spacious rooms. USB jacks were appreciated. Big shower. Plenty of hot water. Good views of the city from the 19th floor. Only one English speaking channel on the TV. I know, I’m in a Spanish speaking country.

Despite the location, (but you have many kinds of transport) the hotel is new, clean and with a excellet staff. We had no problem to go outside. As we stay for just a day we went out for dinner calling a Cabify for transport. Everything was perfect.

Over several decades of international travel, I have experienced many different levels of service. This was the best, I believe. Every member of the staff with which I had contact was courteous, professional, kind, attentive. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and tastefully presented. The room was lovely, and being near the top of the hotel, I had a great view. I recommend this hotel

We spent three nights at this hotel during our trip to Argentina and Brazil. When our tour company booked us to this hotel instead of Kenton Palace, where we suppose to stay, we was so upset. We can't find a lot of reviews on Grand View, find out that the hotel is not in a city center.... O boy , we should be happy that they switch us to this hotel ! Hotel is New and that's mean is Very Very clean. The beds is comfortable, the pillows is really hard ( not bothers me , as I always bring my own pillow ) Very friendly, helpful staff at the front desc, always willing to answer any questions .Thank you guys ! The maid keep our room clean every day. Very good breakfast to start the day. if you are worry that hotel is not in a center don't be. if you are able to walk it will take 20-30 min.from the hotel. If you are not a big walker than the taxi is really really cheap. The only one suggestion to the hotel -please wash all towels with a little bit of bleach, as towels are clean but have this grayish color. All in all we have very very good stay at this hotel and will recommend highly .
