The hotel is not the fanciest in Buenos Aires, but we're so glad we stayed here. It is very reasonably priced and the location is charming – there's a real neighbourhood feel with ordinary Buenos Aires citizens going aboutr their lives – not least taking their dogs for a walk! From the moment we entered the hotel, we were given a wonderfully warm welcome from Barbara at the front desk. She and all her colleagues were endlessly helpful during our 4-night stay.
We are so glad we paid a few dollars extra for a large double room with a very generous balcony – we loved sitting out for the dawn chorus and the evening roost.
In the street – Peña – there is also the excellent restaurant, Roux (recommended) and the Cala pizzeria, and there are a number of supermarkets both large and small within walking distance. And the hotel is a stone's throw from the mind-blowing Recoleta Cemetery.
We'd gladly stay here again.

The hotel is very well located, rooms are comfortable, water pressure and hot water abundant in the room. Shower is tight and doesn't fully close so you will probably always wet the bathroom floor a little. Breakfast is simple but well served, regarding eggs the only option is scrambled. They do charge expensive the airport transfer even with a 20% surcharge if you pay by credit card. They also have very crappy internet. During the four days I stayed there the internet was intermitent the whole time and slow.

We stayed with my partner 2 nights and it was all top notch. The impeccable room and the incredibly comfortable bed (we hadn't rested so well in a long time). The breakfast was hearty and very rich and I especially highlighted the attention of the staff who were available for any order no matter how minute. We really liked the hotel, its facilities and the staff service. All excellent. I was able to order room service where they brought us dinner. There is a weekend option that includes a cheeseboard, a massage session for a couple. We had a great time and the place is very nice.
