I was very much looking forward to my stay at Casa Calma due to the wonderful reviews. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I give it two points because personnel are friendly, it is good located and rooms are comfortable. There is a bottle of water and a coffee maker in the room but you have to pay extra to use them. Attention to detail was missing. The worse was that at checkout the transfer I have ordered failed to arrive and the receptionist was completely helpless without being able to provide an alternative. Apparently there was an important presidential meeting on that day in Buenos Aires and this was mentioned in the paper. They advertised that some streets were going to be closed, however the hotel was not informed about this. I have found it out later since I had to walk with my luggage to achieve my destination (Cruise Port). Not a pleasant experience for a traveller in a foreign city.…
Clean, spacious rooms, op to 3 per room; friendly, helpful staff; nice simple breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, breads, and extras. Easy walking to many sites up to 30minutes one way for distance areas. Recommend this hotel!
A friend and I arrived at midnight. We were given a different room than the one booked (we booked garden view ti prevent street noise) and we had street view . We were informed breakfast had an additional cost even though when we booked it said it was included. The room was spacious and very clean, super nice. The fridge didn't work. We reported twice but no one fixed it (it was my birthday and we wanted to keep a mini cake and champagne cold). The toilet flooded, and it made an incredible loud noise every time you flushed it. The shower was good but you had a mini lagoon outside every time you used we couldn't discover why. Staff was friendly but no really caring about finding solutions. Location was GREAT! But definitely not worth the price. We booked through Booking.com
We are so glad we've chosen Casa Clama for our stay in Buenos Aires. Everything was exactly as the pictures on the web site. The room was spacious and very nice. The jacuzzi was glorious ! Even my husband, who is a big man, fit it nicely. Everything was clean, and very well maintained. Nothing was broken or not working. We even have our own internet router inside the room. We had a little issue connecting with our iphone and they changed the router immediately. Even though the room was facing the street, the windows were double glazed so it was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent ! We even asked one of the days for our breakfast to be delivered to our room and they did it at no extra charge. The staff is excellent as well. If you go to Buenos Aires and you want to be in the city center, this is the place to be.…
What a great little hotel. Great Staff. We loved the rooms and the decoration. We stayed in a lovely hotel in a lovely city. We really enjoyed it and we will definitely come back ! Fully Recommended !
We went to Patagonia and stayed twice at CasaCalma. Before we went south and after. The staff were great ! from recommending restaurants, Tango Shows to keeping our luggage while we went to Patagonia. The hotel is quite small with no fancy amenities, but the rooms and the staff make up for it. They do such a great job, and the rooms are awesome. Very nice boutique Natural hotel. Really glad we found it !!
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was Fantastic, Spacious and very well decorated. The bathroom and shower were lovely. They even have a tiny sauna inside the room, unbelievable ! Everything is very clean and tidy. Breakfast was great, it has got everything you may need to start the day off (scrumbeled eggs, crispy bacon, fruit salad, donuts, etc, etc). All the boys and girls that work here are very very nice and they are always trying to make you feel comfortable. Will definitely come back again if we are back in Argentina.
We stayed 3 nights at Casa Calma. This little Gem located in a very nice neighbourhood right in the center of Buenos Aires exceeded our expectations. The room is very nice with a lot of natural light during the day. But the star is the double jacuzzi. Excellent !!! The breakfast area is a bit small but the buffet breakfast is great ! The quality of the goods and the service is superb. A very BIG thumbs up for the Staff. They make every effort to make you feel at home. I totally recommend Casa Calma if you are planning to visit Buenos Aires!
During the corona crisis my husband and I got stuck on our honeymoon in Argentina. We made it back to Buenos Aires to get a flight home. Because our original hotel in Buenos Aires had closed, our travel agent booked us into Casa Calma at the last minute, the day before our arrival and the lockdown would come into effect. We arrived late at night. Beautiful room, nothing wrong in that department. However, within the hour they called up to our room to tell us we had to leave, in a most unfriendly manner. Also, this was approx 11 pm. So we had to find another hotel before midnight (the impending lockdown). Fortunately we managed this. But I find it utterly disgraceful that Casa Calma is now hanging on to our money, when they kicked us out - and we never got to stay there. I realise the circumstances are harsh, but to leave your guests hanging like this is just not acceptable. Will definately not come again and don't recommend.…
I stayed in Casa Calma (Buenos Aires) last New Year's Eve (2019/2020) with my boyfriend and we loved it! The hotel staff was amazing, very helpful and solicitous. Also they gave us a lot of tips of what to do in Buenos Aires. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The only thing we would like to point out is that the accomodation is not "brand new". The television was outdated and the curtain of the bathroom window fell when we were there. We would definitely return there!
