Unlike other reviews, my room was very clean and everything worked. The location is great, and service was OK, but we are fluent in Spanish. The terms from Hotels.com are confusing, so if you use them check your charges.

Good, central location but that's it! Noisy, poor internet, leaky bathroom, TINY shower - less than 1 sq m which really made it unusable. As others have said, the photos and reality are starkly different Under the guise of a "deposit" they double charged me since I had already paid through hotels.com - Thieves!!! Save yourself the pain...stay somewhere else!!

I am from Chicago, also stayed in London for 1.5 Yrs before, We 5 members checked-in at 12 noon on November 26, 2015, we had pre-booking from Colonia Express one room with 2 occupies another with 3 occupies. They just put one more bed in small room where 2 occupies to make it 3 occupies, with no space left in room. We asked when staff said room with three occupies will be available at 8.00 pm local time whereas check-in time was 12 noon. We booked this tour 3 weeks ahead of time, looks like hotel had double booking issue but they did not accepted the mistake. We complaint Colonia Express about this. Another room with room with 2 occupies had broken air conditioner and very bad bathroom. In spite of all these issue which hotel staff never bothered to fix after multiple complaints during our stay, they were calm and peaceful. Looks like they were used to these complaints. Breakfast was basic but ok. Hotel lobby is maintained ok.

The location is ideal, it's in a nice downtown area, near major landmarks and transportation. The breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable. However, the room we got was quite small, with an even smaller (and very uncomfortable) bathroom, in which not even an average height person could shower easily. The wifi service worked perfectly in the lobby and in the corridors, but not at all in my room, which is very, very unconvenient. The problem was the service. Most of the staff was corteous and helpful, except for one of the receptionist, a lady who promised our room would be ready in a few minutes... which ended up being over an hour and a half, during which we could have ran errandas (such as exchanging currency) or do some shopping... but didn't, thanks to her. We also asked her to send someone to help us with the security box in the room, and nobody came. We asked her to provide us with an extra key to the room, and she didn't... we had to learn from another receptionist that they had no extra key for it. I don't believe I'll go back to this hotel.
