Met some lovely people, staff were helpful and friendly (not the guy who sits at the tables, but the receptionist staff are). They provide you with helpful maps of the area locating the laundry and supermarkets, etc. Cool two level hostel with potential, there is a jacuzzi and a BBQ sundeck area on the roof terrace. Breakfast was very average,...

Smita:Im sorry that you didnt found me helpfull and friendly as the rest of the staff. I did my best. I dont think the breakfast is average, and most people agree with this. Specially for the price that you are paying. About cleanliness, we clean the common bathrooms on every shift. I dont think you are telling the truth as...

We stayed here over New Years so all the streets and local restaurants were quiet. We stayed in a 5 bed room. The hostel is spacious, with good wifi and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and the reception was open 24 hours. They had a fridge selling drinks and there was a supermarket a couple of minutes away. It...

Top Hostel. Great location in the middle of town and close to most important sights. The staff is very helpful. Laid-back atmosphere in general. A good base for adventures in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires.

Sabatico is located in the heart of beautiful Buenos Aires a reasonably short walk from a number of excellent restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities. This is the 4th hostel I've stayed in during my time at buenos Aires. I am staying here for two weeks whilst I study Spanish and I'm so glad I picked this hostel. It's clean, it has hot showers, good wifi, great vibes and everything you need in the kitchen. It has plenty of tables and sofas in the main...

To get an inexpensive hostel with the breakfast included being fresh eggs, pastries, and maybe even alfajores was way better than I expected. It was also quiet (which is nice for a city), and the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. As far as hostels go it's awesome.

This hostel has to be one of the safest i have ever stayed in. They have multiple levels of security from the front door to your room door. Nice chill out spot of the roof where you can see the southern cross. Decent location, though its a few blocks to the nearest subway, however the staff is very helpful and...

The hostel's location is quite good, near the 9 de Julio Avenue, a few blocks away. The reception, facilities and enviroment were pretty good to me as well. The only thing I didnt like much was the fact the bathrooms were located outside the rooms. Some peole may like it tho. The problem is I was there during the winter....

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
