Main base to see St Peter Cave Church, The Liwan Hotel in Antakya, Turkey which used to be the residence of the First President of Syria, Subhi Bay Barakat al-Khalidi, but is now part of Turkey. The former Presidential Residence was built in 1902 and is now a hotel. The real stone balcony is awsome. Many antiques in the hotel...

City center hotel in the former Syrian President house. It has been sympathetically restored, with modern touches such as an elevator. Original floor throughout and handmade carpets. Very high quality finishing everywhere. Especially thankful for the car parking attendant who was very helpful with directions and advice. They don't have private parking, but the attendant will park your car in...

This is a lovely little hotel - lots of character and history in the building itself. However, not all rooms are created equal, so if you're staying for a while, ask for a room with windows so you can get some fresh air. I did this after spending a few restless nights in a windowless, very small room and the...

A great mix of helpful efficiency and the atmosphere of historical Turkey. The courtyard restaurant with the ceiling that opens is amazing, providing natural cooling air, very welcome in the mid August heat. Couldn't fault the staff, who were helpful and attentive. The breakfast variety was brilliant, especially for a smallish hotel, and the evening meals were exceptional in quality...

The wife and I went to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We hired a car from the airport and had to find the place late at night. Not easy to find! The location of the hotel is perfect. It is right on the edge of town, close to quite a few attractions. The building is awesome and the rooms of...

This hotel really is a pleasure to visit! It is in a beautiful restored old house and has been very tastefully refurbished. We had a very nice large room, well decorated and with very large towels in the bathroom - that is a nice change! There is a nice courtyard breakfast area with friendly and helpful staff. We also visited...
