Perched on a hill not far from the sea and local beaches with sweeping views of the forested valley - #emcasa is an oasis. With a prevailing light cool sea breeze and sun swept outdoors you can only be happy. The entire Portuguese Atlantic coast is incredibly beautiful with expansive rugged coastline, superb beaches and an authentic rustic local honesty you don’t find easily these days. #emcasa is nestled in sublime beauty. We had the luxury of being the only guests for a few days - our bedroom with master pool en suite and comforting service by wonderful hosts Ronny and Timo. #emcasa is immaculate, comfortable, quiet, personable, considered and super kool. Wonderful breakfasts, healthy, fresh and 100% on point. Bespoke curated wine list featuring excellent local wines. Best in class in the Lourinha area no doubt. Wow! Given the excellent recommendations we booked six nights at emcasa and arrived with high expectations. And they were actually exceeded. In this small, fine boutique hotel a lot of attention to detail is shown in terms of the design of the rooms and area (an oasis of calm with a view of the lush green surroundings and the sound of the sea in the background), choice of regionally sourced breakfast ingredients, Portuguese wines offered etc. Timo and Ronny are wonderful, welcoming, cheerful and easy-going hosts, with an exceptional sense for the wishes of the guests. We adored the healthy, delicious à la carte breakfast, which left nothing to be desired (even for us as vegetarians). If you're looking for an accommodation near Lisbon in a calm, beautiful environment with fantastic wineries, delicious local restaurants, high cliffs, white sand beaches, (kite) surf spots, hiking trails etc. just around the corner, then you shouldn't miss emcasa. 100% recommended!…
It was a very nice stay. Great spacious rooms with a great design. The owners and their service is great. They are always available for a chat and very helpful with information about the region and goo advices for restaurants. The breakfast is great with fresh and regional products. They even baked a birthday cake for me.....nothing more to add. Great place to be, nice region...I definitely recommend this guesthouse.…
Unique location near a stunning beach, Porto das Barcas (10 minutes walk from the villa). Unspoiled view of magnificent wooded hills . Short travel time by car to a vast array of beaches. About 20 to 30 minutes to the Peniche area (the surf capital of Europe!!) This guesthouse truly stands out because the owners have reached perfection: perfect hosts, perfect decor, perfect breakfast and snacks, perfect rooms, perfect housekeeping. Everything is done successfully to make your life easy during your stay!
