Our Townhouse was opened as a hobby, after we'd traveled, worked and were lucky with business in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.A. for almost ten years. We'd stayed in bamboo, beach huts, Asian guesthouses, Spanish pensionnes, American and European campgrounds, hostels, Korean yeogwans and Japanese ryokans on shoestring budgets. We hooked up 'on the road' while traveling in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan in Dec 83, got married 2 years later in 85, decided to have a baby and knowing we'd miss the energy, excitement and adventure of world travel opened the door of our 3 bedroom 2 bath townhouse for travelers as a hobby in 86 which has grown and evolved to the present 35 private rooms with 8 rates from P300 to P950 and 4 bed dormitory.

I stay here often when I visit Manila. The location is very close to the airport. The food is inexpensive and good, and there is always a fun vibe in here, You always meet people and learn new things just by being in the open room downstairs.

The rooms range from a dorm with a s

I am a frequent traveler and I am used to go to cheap hotels / hostels, as well as good ones, in SE Asia.
Since we only had few hours between two flights in Manila, we decided to stay in TownHouse hotel from 3am to 9am. It was the worst idea ever.
We choose a room with a

Walked into main building which was dark, run down and foul smelling. Asked about dorm, price was cheap(!!!) but no wonder why. Staff seemed disinterested.

Walked down the road ~100m to a new building where it stunk of musty mouldy and wastewater, got to the room and it was lik

The new aircon in the Townhouse hotel are totally useless! We stayed there for a week and the new Kepple aircon don't work. It only gives out a tiny fraction of air so slow that it is useless! We demanded a fan be put into our room to replace their useless air con; and the staff

Very convenient location! We stayed at the top most room (I forgot the name). The room and comfort room were somewhat clean. The blankets were dusty. The staff were rude and inattentive. Also, wifi signal didn't reach our room.

Thank you Pola for taking the time to write this review and I've already taken note of your report about our staff who may be sent on "vacation" due to their laziness and poor attitude; most of our 29 private rooms in our main building now have wi-fi inside the rooms as does our 4th floor roof garden overlooking Manila Bay ,Mall of Asia, The City of Dreams, Solaire and Okada Casino Hotel Complexes. We do have 6 rooms, four P600/ night / 1 or 2 persons fan cooled rooms with private bath, one P400/ night/ fan cooled share bathroom and one larger P500/ night fan share bath and our P200/ bedspace 6 bed Mixed fan cooled Dorm with share bath in our unit 11 which are not connected to cable TV and wi-fi but all Townhouse Hotel Manila guests are welcome to use our wi-fi access in our ain building where Elena's Kitchen serves homecooked meals.

Hi Peter we have 36 private rooms, 19 of these are air-conditioned rooms so if you remember how many rooms did you check? A simple text message to us 0922-841-5540 or 0928-250-1275 would have instantly solved any and all problems you have been so nice to share. Both our email and cell #s are published and easily available since the 1990s and we respond very quickly.

How much do you pay for the fake reports stating that this accommodation is anything other than a vile cesspool? I am a fairly articulate person and I'm sure that I could write a believable report making it out that your pit from hell is actually worth visiting so what is the rate per report?
Thank you so much "arisuta" for your ?? review?? report?? your opinion? Different strokes for different folks. We always choose accommodation ourselves based on the three rules of real estate, Location Location Location and both of our locations, Manila near the airports on Manila Bay's Roxas Blvd and on Boracay Island's world famous White Beach are prime locations, real estate value wise.

Hello Bill...you make great reviews for your own place !!
Thanks Claude for noticing but we have an equal number of positive and negative reviews overall since we opened our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouse to world travelers in January 1986 as a hobby. Now with 38 rooms and over 20 bathrooms I guess most guests agree with my reviews.

Why do former Townhouse guests posting negative and often hateful reviews not ask to see several of the 38 private rooms until they choose their favorite?
Hello vile Bill. You want to know why we didn't run screaming from your fleapit cess-pool of a hotel when we first arrived? I'll tell you, it was the middle of the freaking night and we had nowhere else to go in a strange city with no access to a taxi or anything else in that dank alley where your den of iniquity molders on its foundations.
