We decided to get our 16 year old daughter her dive licence for her Bithday and the team at Benthos did an awesome job with Pablo the instructor teaching her and one other student while dive boss "Commando" took my wife and I diving and my younger daughter snorkeling. We did 2 dives at Tulamben and 2 at Ahmed. Conditions were perfect, the gear was top notch and the team were amazing. She graduated with her licence and is absolutely stoked.

The resort is nice and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, I must say the food was scarce and monotonous. Room for improvement here. No juice or cereal or yoghourt for breakfast. The rooms are beautiful but dark. In any case I would recommend it.

Benthos is a great dive resort. Location is good with many restaurants and spa nearby. All staff are very nice and helpful, and will arrange whatever you need. The room is nice and you will enjoy the outdoor shower room. I made three days diving and met a great dive guide Komang. We found manta and bumphead parrot. I will come again to find the mola during the right season next time. Thanks Komang and all Benthos staff!

I was looking for the best place to get my PADI certificate and a friend of mine recommended me to try Benthos Bali Dive Resort. I am really far from being disapointed by this choice, it has even exceeded my expectations. The facilities are clean, spacious and very well equipped. The diving gears are excellent and well maintained. Both of the 2 instructors i had interactions with were friendly, professional, encouraging and also incredibly respectful of all the marine life. If you are serious and looking for a place to get your PADI certificate in Bali dont hesitate to visit Benthos bali dove resort.

We had a great 6 days. Benthos is such a boutique resort with only 8 rooms. The whole complex is excellently designed and thought out. From front reception, Dive area, to bar to pool to rooms.... only criticisms A) pond water feature next to the 2 double rooms was quite noisy through the night — ear plugs provided were either who that or the rooster! B) room was a little too dark and needed better lighting C) no sea view. That said .......The positives far far far outweigh any negatives We would not hesitate to stay here again. 6 days was too short and we loved our outside bathroom. Even if you aren’t a diver plenty of bars and restaurants right on your doorstep and moped hire close by. Diving local sites was excellent, mantas at Penida, octopus, turtles, shark cave at Biaha etc etc all delivered in spades Pablo was a very extrovert and enthusiastic divemaster. Our dive guide was Komang who was very friendly, relaxed and calm and Gede was a great driver. ALL the staff were friendly and polite with always a cheery hello or goodnight and looked after our gear really well. Welcome drinks at past midnight were not too much trouble. …

Perfect location for excursions around. Ideal for divers and bike travelers. Very good accommodation and an amazing breakfast. Very friendly staff and will arrange almost everything. Although on the main street, but there was nothing to be heard at night. After borrowing bike everything in good availability.

Benthos was actually recommended to me by a friend whose son had done his diving there. I chose to stay at the resort only to make it easier for the diving. Best decision I have ever made!!! The resort was just perfect............from the rooms to the pool to the food. It was quiet, in a fab location (right in the center of Candidasa) and had extremely accommodating staff. The food was delicious. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was very generous portions. They do a Balinese coffee that kept me going all day. Best dive instructors I have ever had. I had not been diving for a few years but after just 2 dives with them I felt like I was diving every day. Thank you Titta and Muji for your patience and support!! ( please forgive me if I got the spellings wrong) After a long day diving, it was just amazing to come back to the idyllic setting of the resort, swim in the pool and have a beer lounging on the porch of my little villa. I found Benthos after exploring the "Secret Gilis" on Lombok (the one I liked most is Gili Layar) & while me and my girlfriend were looking for a nice not too crowded place to stay on Bali before we had to fly back home... If I would have known before how great & relaxed this place actually is - I had become 3 days in advance... It offers beautiful open air bathrooms, luxurious large bedrooms and a nice pool (which has two different levels of depth-what is fantastic if you want to learn how to dive-or even do a refresher)... The management and the staff were extraordinarily friendly (warm greetings to Anna) and the food was delicious... Situated in the middle of Candidasa it's just a short way if you want to visit the lagoon or the city's temple...I'm absolutely thankful and happy that I found this place...…
