We love Aquaria. The minute you walk in, you are transported into a calm and serene oasis. The outside world just mets away. Aquaria has been maintained well over the pandemic and it was great to be back. The staff are so lovely, they are polite, friendly, accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. They will do anything to make your stay comfortable, memorable and relaxing. We truly feel at home at Aquaria and feel so relaxed from day one. We stayed 17 nights and did not want to leave! The food is excellent, always super fresh and tasty and I fell in love with the breakfast smoothie and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection every day. The in house massages are fantastic and in my opinion world class, I love the seafront massage room where you hear the waves just metres away. The pool is heavenly for a swim or just to sit by and relax. All water to the property is filtered and safe, free drinking water is provided freshly in your room daily which gives you great peace of mind and saves on buying plastic bottles. Thank you to the Jeni and her wonderful staff for taking such good care of us. We will be back!

I cannot recommend Aquaria highly enough. It is like a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price! The attention to detail is second to none. Multiple small touches you don't see in even 5 star hotels eg daily flowers, incense, a bottomless 5 litre water fountain refilled daily (or more often if necessary), a torch, hair products, mosquito repellent, the pool is large and crystal clear. The rooms / bathrooms are large and very clean. The hotel is literally on the water (beach) so you can walk from your room to snorkelling or swimming in the sea which is protected by a reef. The staff are amazing - so attentive - without being overwhelming. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is also very high quality Western / Indonesian / Thai / with multiple Vegetarian options and they even asked upon arrival if we have any allergies so the chef could accommodate for that! Food is all super fresh and restaurant standard. This is our 4th hotel since being in Bali (May - June 2022). Unfortunately, some other hotels have been run down and badly neglected during the pandemic and the photos on the websites are clearly pre-covid and do not live up to the reality which is very sad. So it was such a treat (and relief!) to arrive Aquaria and find that in fact it is better than the photos! Simply serene and blissful. Thank you Aquaria.

Having watched the seductive videos on the properties website I was looking forward to staying here. To be fair, they have been shut down for two years and are barely open again. There is clearly some way to go before this property is back to what is promised on their website. The staff are lovely and are working hard to please the guests but the shutdown has taken a toll on the property and it looks and feels quite tired. The wifi doesn’t cope and fails to reach the front of the resort. The food was simple and OK but not special and the breakfast needs to be improved. At a minimum guests expect a juice to be offered and some toast for the rates charged. Hopefully as things start to improve in Bali some reinvestment in the property will bring it back up.

We spent 6 days at Aquaria in March just prior to the call for Australians to return home. We stay in hotels all over Bali and we keep returning to Aquaria as it is such a special place run by really delightful people. It was our eighth visit! It has a tranquil 'zen' quality about it and there was no better place for us to be as we faced the daunting COVID situation. Toris, Wayan and all the staff make us feel so very welcome. We've never encountered a dissatisfied customer there. All seem to quickly become devotees. The rooms have an honest charm about them and being able to sit on the veranda and watch the passing parade of ferries, fast boats and traditional boats is so relaxing. Equally, reclining on a lounge around the pool or in a bean bag just metres from the water is really soothing. The pool itself, which most rooms overlook, is also tranquil, refreshing and fastidiously maintained. We eat in house most of the time - pumpkin soup, samosas and mahi-mahi our favourites. Very reasonably priced, as are the drinks. The new development Splash! oceanfront dining is a great innovation that allows Aquaria to make full use of its location directly on the water. Sunsets there are very romantic. The poolside restaurant remains an attractive all-weather alternative on wet season storm nights. And of course Vincent's is close handy for a special night out. It is a great restaurant by any world standard. Did I mention the very skilled massages in the most serene little spa lulled by the hypnotic lapping of waves on the reef? There is plenty to see and do within striking distance of Candi Dasa for the first time visitor, easily accessible with a driver (Try Wayan Ninja) or a traditional boat to White Sand Beach. There is also a number of really nice restaurants once you've been to Vincent's a few times (especially on Jazz Nights). And the hotel will arrange for a traditional boat to pick you up right out front for snorkelling near the off shore islands or further afield at Blue Lagoon. Aquaria - no place we'd rather be!

This is our second visit to Aquaria within a year. It is truly a slice of paradise, as soon as you enter the property your worries float away and you feel calm. The central pool is an amazing focal point. We enjoy staying in a room overlooking the pool. The ocean is close by and its lovely to sit and watch the fishermen come and go as well as the tide. It's easy to while away your time here and be totally relaxed. The staff are all very friendly and eager to please. Nothing is too much trouble. The included breakfast is plentiful and there is a great variety. We eat in their restaurant most nights and love the food. The massages are 10/10. Murni has magical powers. Stay here and you will feel at home. Our number place to stay in Bali. Thank you Jenni, Ketut and team :-)

Fabulous place ....all rooms either face the pool or the sea . Loved watching all the activity on the water ....boats coming and going fishermen bringing they catches in . Staff are great Jenny the owner runs a tight ship . Rooms are cleaned to a standard that many 5 star hotels could learn from . Had 14 blissful days hardly left the resort . The food in the restaurant was too good to eat elsewhere ...breakfast on the verandah ...just a wonderful place .

Aquaria is a gorgeous little boutique hotel right on the beach front of Candidasa. The owner is from New Zealand and it’s obvious that she adores her property. It feels more like a home stay because you are treated like family and cared for. Lovely little touches everywhere. The pool is large, beautifully clean and the gardens are tended every day. The property is spotless and very well maintained. Breakfast is either served in the restaurant or brought to your patio, your choice. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The property is a 3 minute walk to the shops and cafes. We would stay here again any day!

A wonderful small hotel with excellent staff. Booked for 4 nights but enjoyed it so much we extended for a few more. The setting is so calm and relaxing you could stay onsite all the time, comfortable sun beds and bean bags overlooking the sea and also beside the pool. It also has a nice seawater plunge pool. I must highlight the restaurant as well, serving fresh tasty food - we ate there a good few times.

We stayed at this Eco resort in August 2019 and enjoyed it immensely. The spacious rooms, although not lavish, are very comfortable and and include drinking water which is continuously replenished - you never have to buy water! The toiletries provided are of exceptional quality. Breakfast (included), lunch and dinner are offered at the hotel restaurant overlooking the pool and the food is superb. There is a special menu which is changed daily. The staff are absolutely incredible - so caring - they go that extra mile. There is also a very good spa offering a variety of treatments at reasonable prices. hotel backs onto the sea, access to which is by a stairs. There is also a small seawater pool if you prefer not to venture into the natural sea. The view of the ocean from the property is magnetic. The hotel is also very close to the main road where a number of restaurants including the famous Vincents are within easy reach. However we found the hotel meals so good we rarely visited the off site restaurants. This hotel is unique - well worth a try and if you do stay there, like us, you will be enticed back there again.

We loved this place! So quiet and peaceful yet in a perfect location for getting everywhere in Candidasa. Staff were amazing. Room and view were perfect and pricing of spa treatments etc were not padded like some hotels do. We also loved that all water to resort was filtered. So no need for single use plastic. Not a fan of any of the food served in the restaurant or the free breakfast, but otherwise a perfect hotel.
