This was our second stop in Bali after 4 nights in Ubud, and so happy to have found this wonderful place. We booked both villas which was ample space for our family of 5 (boys aged 13 and 11, and our daughter is 7). The villas are quite close to together and situated next to the Tirta Ayu restaurant inside the Water Palace. The villas are as per photos on website and were just gorgeous. Excellent service from staff (Jatti and co.) who were always available when needed and organised our breakfast in the larger villa every morning. They arranged for an early breakfast when my husband and sons left early for the Bung Bung Adventure Biking tour (also excellent). We ate regularly at the lovely warung out front of Rijasa Homestay which is directly across from the entrance to the market before you enter the Water Palace. The restaurant Tirta Ayu next to the Villa is also excellent but more expensive. We loved the space for the children to run around and explore safely - hotel "spring" pool, swings and see saw, and plenty of fish to feed at the Water Palace. We took a 5 minute boat road at the Water Palace for idr 20,000 each. There are also fish at the villas and the kids loved feeding them every day (possibly 3 times a day!) Tea and coffee is provided, wifi is better in the smaller villa, but really, not that important considering where you are! We loved exploring the water palace after the day visitors had gone. There was a gentle hum about the place - the sounds of the Hindu Temple next door, water running through ponds and fountains and local families swimming in the pools kept things interesting. Amazing views from both villas over the water palace and across to Lombok. Not suitable for small children as there are no pool fences and access to the bedrooms upstairs is really steep. Also quite a few insects - but nothing annoying. The villa was cleaned for us every day so it was always lovely. Such a unique spot. I would recommend 2 or 3 nights here and would definitely be back.

Amazing stay- you have your own private suite with breakfast served in the room. Walk the water palace grounds without daytime crowds morning and evening. Plunge pool, tropical serene setting is luxurious.

The area is extremely hot and humid and the villas are not air conditioned. The place at first glance looks beautiful but it is not a comfortable place. The bed is located in an upstairs loft and that sounds romantic till you try to climb in. Going to the bathroom at night one of you has to climb over the other to get downstairs. The shower is outside and there was not enough hot water for both of us to shower. Breakfast was ok but not great. The staff was very accommodating but if you are uncomfortable there is not much they could do.

We have visited these villas numerous times in the last 12 months for between 2 and 5 days at a time. Excellent location and place. Staff went above expected duties. Manager Windra was amazing. The plunge pool was refreshing. Gorgeous villa overlooking the water palace. Peaceful and fresh there. Relaxing and rejuvenating

Stayed at a marble deluxe triple room and it's like being in a fairy tale! The view from the balcony was breathtaking. There's a private pool and a patio and what I loved the most was the bathroom! The staff and manager are really nice and accommodating. The room was cleaned and very well-maintained.

If you are looking for a rare and unique experience, this is one, at a bargain price . It’s a really special experience staying here watching the crowds come in out of the water palace and then you are left alone! Having dinner at sunset watching over the gardens. The food in the restaurant is ok....not bad not amazing. But the experience is fantastic. We stayed in the lion villa, great value and stunning space. We had our own mini pool and the whole villa is open.We also checked out the bigger room next door which was super, if it’s available go for that. Incredible views. I woke up really early to watch the sun rise over the gardens, not a sole there. The only thing I would say is there are spiral stars to go up to the bed. This would not be suitable for an older person or someone less bodily abled, or a drunk person! Could be dangerous. Breakfast come to the villa and it was very nice. It’s made separately from the restaurant. The manager aims and delivers a warm friendly service. I will return and hire all rooms out in a group, a unique trip for a group of friends of family. Highly recommend.

Tour with Bali Sun Tours - our guide Panda was incredible. Friendly, and knowledgeable. He definitely made the tour better :) The Water Palaces were the most incredibly beautiful and serene places we have seen so far in Bali.

Still it is nice to see this beautiful place with lots of flowers, you can enjoy. If you want to enjoy it, it is best you visit it from 8-12 am. There are not so many tourists in that time. The restaurant is placed very high so you can get a beautiful view. If you want to take a swim, it's possible. But there are a lot of stones in the bottom and also small fish- just so you know it.

Highly recommended place to visit, starbucks was just next to it. In a busy street of Ubud, you can feel relax while sipping your coffee. Close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops and clothing stores. A little forest in the middle of the city.
