We stayed in the two bedroom beachfront bungalow and it was gorgeous. It has two bedrooms and sleeps 5, with an upstairs bedroom retreat set in a pitched roof, with a window looking over the sea. The furniture is lovely and the linen is all cotton and hand dyed in the batik tradition. There are comfy sun lounges looking over the sea, steps down to the beach and each place is private and surrounded by gardens. Good hot water and the bungalow is decorated beautifully and simply. We absolutely loved it, and the breakfast was tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back

The owner is very rude and unfriendly. We stayed for a week on this trip, and during one evening, my friends and I decided to use the property's only well lit area, the dinning room to have a brief meeting (when no other guests were there, and we did not bring any outside food). The owner (whom sat at the next table the entire time, very creepy) said to us after our meeting that we are not allowed to used the dinning area if we are not 'consuming' anything from the menu, and also criticised me for bringing water into her hotel, she said: "I sell water here, and it's disrespectful to the hotel for guests to buy from anywhere else but from her". This is the worst accommodation experience I have had in 30 years of business traveling, her attitude was disrespectful in every way, and my friends, family and I will not return to any of her properties.

A fabulous boutique style Balinese accomodation. Right on the sea, away from the busy streets. Individual style rooms with comfortable beds and amazing art work throughout. The staff and management make you feel welcome and part of the family. The food is healthy fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommend.

Stayed in Pondok Pisang on 26 June for 3 days 2 nights. Booked beachfront family 2 bedrooms villa. Here is my review. The Good things: 1/ location is right on the sea. It's quiet place good for relax. At late afternoon the sea level is lower so can go down play at the beach but not sandy beach. 2/ Affordable price compare to other villa near by. It's spacious room and simple. You can wash your own clothes and hang on drier bamboo rack in the yard that they provided so you don't need go to laundry services. 3/ The food is nice taste, home style cooking, price about IDR 20K - 80K. 4/ The staffs is quite attentive but they kinda bit shy. 5/ The bathroom is clean. Towel is clean. WIFI is good enough. Bed is okay. Now the not so good things: 1/ Location is deep in the garden far from main road, not easy to find so best is hire driver from candidasa area that you can find in TripAdvisor. It's about 2,5 hours from airport. Since it's far from road so the best buy everything you need before entering villa. 2/ it's affordable so it's basic facilities, don't expect 5 star villa facilities and since is basic so bring your own toothbrush. No TV, No tea coffee making facilities, No safe deposit box. Only 1 old wardrobe that quite dusty. 4/ Electricity power in room is weak. I tried to switch on a kettle that I brought but suddenly the electricity OFF. The lights in room and outside not so bright probably due to low power. But they have enough power plug to charge your laptop or phone. They gave hot water in termosk instead. Overall it was a good stay. Beautiful basic rustic villa with enough greenery and awesome seaview.

This is a georgiuos little place with great friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and beautiful wholesome food. The rooms are all different, not luxurious but comfortable and cozy. It’s a great place for a yoga retreat or just chill out and enjoy the silence and location right on the beach. It’s almost like coming back to what Bali used to be 25 years ago.

First of all the hotel is very difficult to find, somewhere in the interiors of candidasa. When we reached there two ladies came out, and they hardly knew anything about our booking, there was a gap in communication. They told us that our room doesnt even have ac. They looked very understaffed. They told us that no other rooms are booked. All in all it may be a good place if you want some lone time. But if you are out with your family to have fun in Bali, then this place is not for you!!

Oh what bliss! The gardens and ocean views at PP are just lovely and the sounds of cicadas enlivening. I have difficult dietary restrictions to cater to. I stayed here for a week on retreat and have never eaten so well since I started the FODMAP diet. So much care goes into this delicious healthy food. The staff are warm and graceful. My room (Papaya) was not advertised with a bathtub and I found that it leaked when I tried to use it. The manager was able to resolve this immediately on my request. In house laundry was very handy and the massages arranged were excellent. Bicycles are available and staff will organise a car with driver for you as needed. When I asked for moto-taxi I could only get a scooter for hire or car with driver though :)

I love staying here. It is for people who want to relax and eat fine, healthy food. You will be well looked after by the staff here. The room are bungalows, all are different. The place is rustic, shabby coastal chic, not a flash hotel. There is a yoga room with props upstairs of the relaxation area. Highly recommended if you want to chill out. Not for loud people who want to party. Go to Kuta for that. Located in Mendira Village on the way to Candidasa, there are many interesting things to do in the local area. Many of the Candidasa businesses pick up clients from the coastal villas and resorts, they are just a phone call away. The local people in the village are lovely and friendly and the Alam Zempol factory is located there up near the volleyball court.

Pondok Pisang is beautifully located in a very quiet spot near Candidasa and near the ocean. The small houses are beautifully designed and also the interiors are very tastefully decorated. I stayed in Mangosteen which is perfect for 1 person (and also for 2 I guess), it was not directly on the beach but you could see the sea from the window. The nights were a great experience, with just the sound of the waves, the wind, and the animals (all of a sudden, the gecko starts to make noise which really adds to the experience). There is no AC, but you won't miss it. The atmosphere of the place is really relaxing, there is a beautiful space for doing yoga but my favorite spot was the wooden deck with very nice view on the ocean, perfect for reading and relaxing. There is no real beach but swimming possibilities are very good. The staff is nice and friendly, although quite shy. The food is nice, mainly vegetarian, although in my opinion it was a little expensive compared to other places on Bali with similar food. Breakfast is not included, but otherwise the price for the rooms are very reasonable. I did a walk in the surroundings, through jungle and rice paddies with Somat, it was a great experience which I really can recommend,

After rushing hour in other part in Bali. We check in this place for 2 nights. Is really relaxing and the beach is like only dedicated to us. I love the platform very much! Is so windy and blow away all your tiredness.
