Nestled near the bustling beaches of North Goa, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa - Arpora - Baga is lauded for its prime location and modern, clean accommodations. Guests have called out the helpful staff and luxurious amenities, which contribute to the hotel's inviting atmosphere.

We had booked a king bed delux room. Room was very good with all amenities provided . The inhouse food was exceptional. Thankyou to the chef and each and every person who has made our stay memorable. 20-23 Dec 2023. My only suggestion would be if possible to provide a hand shower in the bathroom.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and it was one pleasant stay. Special mention to the staff and fantastic service. Whenever and whatever we requested, was offered to us immediately. The breakfast buffet was so so good, suiting all tastes. They even provided modified dishes for my 3 YO child. Each and every staff managing the restaurant were just soooo good, always in sight addressing to people's requests or asking if each one there is happy and satisfied. The check-in, check-out, baggage sanitisation, service, friendly and helpful staff everything is worth applauding. And not to forget the entertainment area- adults of my family were busy with the pool and table tennis while the kid played in the play pen.

The room was a good size, nice view of the pool. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and had a quick check in which we appreciated after traveling all day. Reception staff all very nice, and happy to help. The pool was mostly quiet. Pool staff were very kind and helpful and always remembered your name.
Restaurant was good, food was very nice and they were very happy to make you something else if you didn't like what was on the menu. I particularly loved the breakfast buffet, such a selection to choose from. I also liked that the waiter brought me my cup of tea without being asked after the first day and always remembered that I always had a second cup!(and that my husband didn't)

This is by far the worst “5 star” hotel I have stayed in. I find it untruthful and misleading for you to call your hotel 5 star. The furniture in the rooms are dated, dirty and worn out. Bathroom has no ventilation. Bathroom amenities are what is expected to be found in a 2-3 star hotel - no shower gel, no body lotion, no toothbrushes, etc. A tv the size fit for a home pc. Outdated air conditioning. I will not recommend or return to this place.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking out time and posting a review on our hotel. It was indeed a pleasure to have you stay with us and to have been of service to you. At the outset, please do accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you on being unable to meet your expectations. With respect to the bathroom amenities, we do provide shower gel, body lotion and dental kits in all our rooms amongst other amenities pre-placed however certain amenities like shaving kits are provided on request. The bath amenities placed in all the bathrooms are by 'Crabtree & Evelyn'. In regards to our guest rooms, we are pleased to share with you that a refurbishment and renovation of the same is to happen soon. We are certain the areas and facilities where an upgrade is required would have the needful done accordingly. While I can fully understand that this might have marred your impression of our hotel, please allow me to assure you that we would greatly appreciate an opportunity to correct your perception with your next visit to our hotel. You would definitely notice marked improvement as well as the team's effort to exceed your expectations. My team and I look forward to your future visit, please feel free to write to me whenever you plan to visit us next at clayton.bastian@hilton.com. As mentioned before as well, we would be deeply grateful to receive an opportunity to serve you soon again. Sincere regards, Clayton Bastian

Room service was ridiculous. Guests had requested for Towels, Glasses, Spoons, Dental Kits, etc it was not provided even after regular follow-ups and so many attempts. Hotel staff did not deliver the requested items on time and they were unnecessarily passing time chit chatting with each other at the lobby. Lights were not working properly in room. Few of the switches were broken and rooms were not clean. This is not expected in a 5 star property like Hilton. This needs to be taken under consideration. It creates bad impression for a travel agent and the customer blames us for suggesting them this property. Highly disappointing.

Hotels only minus is its just OLD
In a otherwise modern touristic Goa this seems to be of a different era... just old
Be it the room furniture, reception/breakfast area, walls, tiles, curtains, garden and pool... all are old antiquated and screaming to be renovated!
Go for it if you are getting a good deal but dont be fooled by its 5* status as perhaps it was accorded in 1980s!!

I had booked 4 rooms for 8 guests way back in Oct 2019 in this hotel through a travel partner. When I was just about to reach the hotel, I was informed by the hotel manager that they had just 1 room booked instead of 4.
So to compensate that they made my booking in Double Tree Hilton, Panjim for one night (which was again a terrible experience hence do read my review at that hotel too) and was again shifted back to Arpora the next day.
Lesson learnt:
Please confirm your booking with the hotel before you go because they goof up guests bookings!

Dear Mr. Deshpande Greetings from DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga.Thank you for reviewing us on Trip Advisor. Reference to your review and our discussion while you were at the hotel, we understand that you had booked for four rooms through a travel partner, however since we were sold out on the given day, we were able to confirm only one room to the travel partner. We understand that your travel partner discussed the concern with you and accordingly post discussions your first night for all four rooms were confirmed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Panaji and the next day you checked into our hotel for the remainder of your stay. We regret the inconvenience you have had to face owing to the same but were glad to learn that you had a pleasant stay with us whilst enjoying the comfort of the pool facing Patio Rooms that you were upgraded to. We hope and trust that this bygone disarray will not deter you from staying with us again and we look forward to welcoming you back soon with a warm DoubleTree Chocolate chip cookie and many more wonderful stays with us. Yours Sincerely, Clayton Bastian

I stayed at this property with my spouse for 3 nights from 26 to 29 February 2020. It was a great stay and we were very well taken care of. The property although old was well maintained. The room and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast had a decent spread catering to both vegetarians as well as non vegetarians.
What we like most was the great personal care, starting from Shubha and Mahesh at the front desk, Saurabh at the restaurant and even Ravi who took us to the beach in their complementary shuttle service.
I would definitely like to stay here again during my next visit.

The sad part about this property is the substantial delay in services. A simple item like a glass of milk for the kid took 35 mins to deliver. There is no proper waiting area which is properly air cooled if u reach early or have time after check out. I had booked a room which offered lagoon view but to my surprise it was old small dirty pond which they proclaimed to be a lagoon, making fool of public openly and with pride. Had requested for an iron on day 2 around noon which was provided after 7 calls at 1030 pm. I was told they just had 10 irons and can only supply if asked fr provided others are not using it.5 star property with soooo many irons. Breakfast menu is sad requires alterations. They provide welcome cookies, I had to ask for them at the time of check out post which they were provided. Not the best of stays I had, been to other hilton properties and this one is purely sub standard. However, would still want to thank rahul from reception area, akshay from house keeping, and vicky and parimal from dining area. There is shop on the ground floor which provides items at v cheap prices, even cheaper to what you can buy from calangute market.

Well, I am short of words or rather at loss of words while I write this review from my hotel room at this Hilton property - which I sincerely feel puts Hilton's name, reputation and stake at risk. I have been to many Hilton properties, India and abroad, have always had wonderful experience dealing with staff that has always demonstrated positive outlook towards their guests and have gone out of way to make their stay comfortable and pleasant. These last 5 days, I experienced exact opposite of what I have always experienced with Hilton in the past. First, at my arrival, even after informing the front desk of my arrival time a day in advance, I was being made to wait for 30 mins and that was after the normal check-in time. Then the room, which was too small, noisy, had an AC unit that continued to malfunction at night, a fan which continued to irritate with its noise throughout the night, a safe which didn't work through the stay inspite of a senior engineers intervention and bathroom which had absolutely no space, so much so that you cannot even move your hands while taking the shower. The breakfast during the stay was the high point with decent variety and great taste. But even there, the service kept you wanting for more as there was no one checking on the guests needs and even things that you request were not delivered on time. Today on my last day, I met two wonderful staff members, Mr. Govind and Mr. Luvkush who kindly asked for my feedback and listened to it patiently. I want to thank both of them for demonstrating the level of courtesy that is otherwise expected from each in a Hilton staff.
Special mention to Mr. Touseef from the front desk team for being the most impolite person I have ever seen or met in hospitality industry. E.g. my wife requested for two bottles of water and his response was:
Mr. Touseef: twooo botttles of water...!!! Is today your check out?
My wife: yes it is.
Mr. Touseef: sorry maam, we dont deliver water bottles on the day of check out. It will be chergeable.
My wife: its alright.
Mr. Touseef: shall I send one bottle, that will be complementary?
My wife: no, please send two, we are fine paying for it.
Summary: staff needs serious training on how to talk to guests with a positive outlook and not being made to feel that they are of no value just because they are checking out. The above instance which I quoted verbatim, is just an example of what you cant be and how you cant talk in a hospitality industry. Many hotels charge for extra bottles which is perfectly fine and the better of way of expressing that would have been, 'okay maam, thanks for your request, I will send two bottles of water. That should be chargeable, hope its alright!'
