Wish i could convey taste over the internet! The food and atmosphere is outstanding, and there is also a very decent play area for kids, both inside and out! Very good for time with the family! Cozy doesn't begin to describe it!

We were very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful our room was. We stayed in Muscat and it felt like a suite in a five star hotel. Massive, with a huge double shower bathroom and separate walk-in dressing room. So chuffed and then sorry we had only booked one night. Lovely breakfast in the morning - not typical of a hotel....

We slept in the Skilpadvlei guesthouse for 2 nights, we had a beautiful room and bathroom. There was a problem with our accommodation on the night that we arrived, the next morning the owner himself came to apologize and they really stepped up their game, we will definitely visit them again!

Well equipped for self-catering, spacious and comfortable. Perhaps a bit dated and lacking in charm but pleasant views over the dam to the mountains. Well located for touring wine estates. Good value. Internet only at the restaurant or tasting room.

We were pestered by the reception before check in even opened to ask what time we would be coming. We got the feeling they were just looking for an early departure. We eventually received our keys from the restaurant which is a completely different company to the accommodation. So much so that the waitress who handed out our key had...

We stayed in one of the chalets. The setting/surroundings were beautiful and breakfast at the restaurant was quite nice. The room itself was pretty dated and basic. Take a few supplies with you e.g. water, bread, milk as you need to check in by 5pm - reception and restaurant closes early and there isn't a shop nearby.

The wine tasting here is very commercial. Boring and with no heart and enthusiasm from the staff. I am glad I have visited other estates and farms. Buy a Coca cola. It is more fun than visit Skildpadvlei.

On a luxury wine tasting bike tour we visited Skildpadvlei Wine Farm. A pretty boring tasting and not a very beautiful place compared to the other wine farms we visited. The wines were average and the presentation was a bit boring and not very entusiastic.

My wife and I spent a night here last week. the room in which we stayed was spacious and clean with the bed comfortable and the shower great. the towels however, have passed their sell-by date, and the drying up cloth, threadbare and totally unusable as it disintegrated in my hands. the bar-be-que area was not 100% clean with the...

I'd booked in to Skilpadvlei for the last night of my SA holiday and so wanted it to be as the adverts said - and it so nearly was. Then the niggles started. I'd booked in on a Sunday night and despite the details showing the restaurant as open, it closed at 4pm. Questions about where I could eat just...
