Penelopes guesthouse is a idyllic guesthouse run by lovely people. There is good service with a complementary glass of wine and treats, a nice pool and a very nice breakfast. I highly recommend it!!!!

Penelope made us feel so welcome in her beautiful, spotlesssly clean home together with delicious breakfast. Huge comfortable king bed with lovely quality linen. Good location a short drive outside of the town of Stellenbosch which is so quaint yet classy with great cafes, shops and restaurants and within easy access to a variety of fabulous wineries. The pool and garden...

We keep going back to Penelope's for the good breakfasts. the beautiful garden, the peace, the excellent value and the great hostess herself. It's out of Stellenbosch but that means it's quiet. There's not much to choose between the rooms.

we stayed in this guesthouse 4 nights and enjoyed the stay very much. The place is quite, stylish clean and cozy. Good breakfast and ample room + balcony. It is not too far from some of the major Capetown's attractions and close to the wine routes. Very recommended

Thank you Marie! It was lovely meeting you and your friends. It is great to see South Africans enjoy the Winelands - and to show it to their friends from abroad. We hope to see you again soon. Regards Penelope

When you're planning a trip to the Cape Town area, it is easy to imagine the distances being much further than they really are and to underestimate the amount of enjoyable time that can be spent in the Winelands. Penelope's was very central and we wished we'd stayed five days instead of three. And we loved waking up every morning...

The 3 night stay at Penelope`s was very good. This was the second time I stayed at Penelope`s and I would highly recommend this Guesthouse. The hostess Penelope was very friendly and flexible. The accommodation was superb. The rooms are well furnished, comfortable and neat. The mini commune kitchenette is a nice bonus.

It is so central to all of the lovely places to visit around the Cape and Wine Lands. Breakfast was excellent with...

Its the little personal touches like the chocolate on the pillows, homemade cookies and complimentary bottle of wine in the rooms, to the warm, family feel that brings me back time and time again to Penelope's Guesthouse. Not to mention the stunning decor & the best homemade breakfast (including Penelope's famous homemade breads baked fresh) you will ever find. Its location is...
