Lovely location with views over the lake / vineyard and stunning mountain backdrop. Good amenities including bar, restaurant, cafe / deli and wine tasting. Rooms are of a high standard and staff extremely efficient and helpful. Service is good and as long as you are happy to forgive the odd mistake you will have a very enjoyable stay. Without a...

Took advantage of a great offer whilst in stellenbosch. A last minute walk in rate meant we stayed for less than an average b&b price. The hotel itself was very nice, friendly staff, decent restuarant and clean, large room.

The big mistake that we made was booking Asara only for one night - we wish we had stayed for longer. There is a long drive up to the hotel with very well maintained landscape. We were greeted with a glass of wine upon arrival. We were upgraded to a classic room which had great views overlooking the vineyards with...

A beautiful setting on the estate.Sitting on the terrace or near the pool gives you a breathtaking view on the landscape. The rooms are outstanding,so is the service.Good restaurant with an excellent breakfast and a good ,but not outstanding dinner menu. With good weather one can sit outside which makes the meal even more enjoyable. The hotel is designed in warm colours and...

Relaxing and spectacular setting with a fabulous restaurant and wine cellar to compliment the most spectacular views. Rooms were private, sound proof and had all the necessary extras, plus an evening fold-down service. The staff were all very friendly and competent, including those in the wine cellar where we tasted some very interesting and slightly different wines. The breakfasts were...

When we arrived at the hotel everything seemed to be at place, very professional welcome, beautiful room... but when we left they asked us 30 rand each for the wine tasting. Usually guests receive a voucher when they arrive but didn't get one. Remarkable is also that of all the wine estates, this was one of the few we had...

We had our own veranda overlooking the vineyards with the mountains behind.lovely view while sipping some wine. The staff could not of done anymore to make our stay better. Highlight of our...

I visited the wine estate, not the hotel. The wine estate is a good visit. Once you enter the very nicely landscaped property and you've parked your car, you see a sign: beer tasting left, wine tasting right. I didn't expect that. The best of both worlds right here. Friendly staff to taste both. At the beer side, you can...

We visited Asara Saturday for lunch. What a wonderful experience! We did not have a booking but we were welcomed with a smile at Sansibar. Our waiter as well as all the other staff were amazing. The cheese platter we ordered was delicious and the wine gorgeous! Our mains were also very pleasant, especially the mussels. Sansibar had a wonderful...

We arrived a bit early as we wanted to spend as long at Asara as we could. Room was not ready but not to worry as we went and had lunch in the Bar , then went for wine tasting. By then the room was ready, so we were taken to the room and shown the rooms facilities. We spend...
