A wonderful place to pass time but unfortunately during our stay the normal chef was off duty. The food therefore was bland, service slow and the room extremely hot with very noisy fan and lots of mosquitos

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to write a response. At the moment we are searching for a new Chef, since our Head Chef resigned on the 1st of November 2015. We replaced her with a new Chef, who was not able to cope during our busy Season. We prefer to look for the right person, instead of...

Room in the old school was great! The view over the wine yards even better! A good swimming pool and garden, sweet dogs and perfect food in the restaurant. Quality of the platter was poor (the night the restaurant was closed).

The rooms are very spacious and private with all the amenities required such as a fridge and kettle. There is a wonderful swimming pool that we had to ourselves and the children enjoyed. A very child friendly place with the chef and kitchen staff catering for the ad hoc eating times for 2 babies, as well as providing microwave facility...

This Guest House in embedded in a wonderful landscape a little bit out of Paarl. The old houses have an extremly charme and a greatful ambiente. The garden and all around is top. The pool is big enough and the place there in sum is very quiet. On next trip, we will be back. RK

What a gem this historic farm/guesthouse is. Fifth generation farm steeped in Huguenot/Afrikaans history, this place has been beautifully restored & offers wonderful accommodation in a beautiful quiet, peaceful setting.. The first Afrikaans school in the country is situated here & we slept in Totius, the famous South African poets classroom. The restaurant offers superb food & service. The area...

We stayed at the guestfarm for three nights. The room was very spacious with a superb kingsize bed. In the room was a big fire place, living room, mini bar and a ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Every evening we ate at the restaurant, the menu changes daily and the food was beautiful cooked. As the farm is a...

All in all a wonderful place to stay when looking for quiet, unique setting with extremely friendly people attending to you - yes, you come as a guest and they make you feel almost like a friend. We even got dinner one night, although we were the only guests. Good tips on where to go.
