As we have not reserved much of the accommodation during this trip, every single stop another surprise. This one stands out out as being tucked away in a very secluded valley. Surrounded by hills ( mountains on all side ), the very small stroke of land along a small stream/river has a hotel and good looking restaurant. We were very...

We had a self-catering studio room (unit 10) which was spacious and had a little patio area with a BBQ. There was plenty of kitchen equipment which was fortunate as we ate in the restaurant on the first night but both agreed we didn't want to go back the following night. The menu was very limited and having chosen the...

The best reason to visit would be it's close proximity to the Cango Caves, just up the road! The gardens is so lush and provides a tranquil setting. Check in staff were a little overwhelmed with a group check in, but all the other personal touches made up for the initial mayhem! If you want an authentic off the beaten...

Quiet and clean with friendly staff. Very far from everything. Rooms don't have that personal touch such as shampoo etc. Only provision for one cup of coffee per person per day. Fully aircon'ed. Very "poor to no" wifi. No cell phone reception inside rooms

Tthe service is very good and the staff very helpful- we got a wonderful tip for a litttle known road trip that turned out to be spectacular. The restaurant here is excellent- don't waste time driving into...

We came here with a small party (27) and were delighted with everything we experienced. This is a working Ostrich farm but great attention has been given to accommodating guests. There is a large dining room, at least 40 guest rooms, extensive grounds, a small lake to fish in., a pool to swim in and a separate restaurant for fine...

Situated at about 15 km from Oudtshoorn, the world capital of ostriches, this country lodge is simply fantastic. Surrounded by nature, the lodge offers fully equipped rooms and cottages. Our cottage, with a nice terrace facing the well mantained garden, was clean, spacious and very quiet. The Lodge has also a swimmingpool and wi-fi in the room. The restaurant, built in...
