We had one night at the Protea Hotel which was booked by our travel agent, we were met by very friendly staff at reception. The room was clean and tidy, but is in need of a big makeover. There was no safe and fridge in our room, but they did provide free water, Wi-Fi, parking and a free drink on...

Traveling as part of a tour group. This Hotel houses you in either individual round houses or terraced rooms. All are in the gardens. The rooms are seriously in need of modernization Very out of date furnishings and facilities. The food, served buffet style was excellent both for the evening meal and breakfast. Lovely location with pleasant helpful staff.

I arrived at the hotel extremely exhausted and was welcomed at reception by amazingly friendly and helpful staff. This is lovely place that has a cosy and farm-like feel to it. Restaurant and bar available. Food is average. Free WiFi. The hotel is centrally situated close to many tourist attractions. Not badly priced either.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling between Franschhoek and Knysna, and whilst relatively comfortable the hotel was average at best. There was no safe in the room which was inconvenient and the hotel felt generally shabby and run down, plus we were charged for drinks we never ordered upon check-out. On the plus side the hotel staff were...

This is an excellent hotel. Rooms are individual rondavaals in well kept gardens. The pool was big enough to swim in. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Kanga caves which are well worth a visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. Medium priced. One of the best hotels I have stayed in for...

We have just spent three nights at this very nice hotel. The hotel feels more like a resort as all the rooms are in the form of rondavels. The rooms are neat and clean and have everything that you need. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is not that strong but in the reception area it is fine. the hotel is...

The hotel has the Best manager, very nice and accommodating staff. Small hotel with hut type rooms, which are a couple of years old. We didn't eat there. Free wifi. Lots of parking. Near town (close enough), good for a stay to visit the caves and ostriches

Stopped here on our way from Hermanus. Was greeted by extremely friendly staff that did not stop throughout our stay. The rooms were adequate which was perfect for just a stop over, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Not all TV channels were working properly and the one aircon in the room was not working properly either. It was probably just our...
