We stayed at Red stone hills while competing in the 36one mtb race, the chalet was perfect, beautiful surroundings and everything we required was supplied even extra blankets, the owner Petro was charming and friendly and made us feel at home, we ordered breakfast one morning and it was more than we could ask for the perfect breakfast, I would...

Congratulations with your excellent performance in the 36one mountain bike race by taking 28 hours to complete the race! Wish you were here this coming weekend for the Red stone cycling and running marathon on our farm. Nice to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. Look forward to sharing our beautiful surroundings with your family in future!

We opted to stay here instead of in Oudtshoorn and what a wonderful decision!! The cottage was spacious and very comfortable; our hosts were amazing and provided coffee and supplies to have a bbq; we had plenty of privacy, peace and quiet and magical views. My only regret is not staying longer! The grounds were also very nice and the...

We stayed at Red Stone Hills for 1 night on our way to Graaff Reinet and we were not disappointed. The cottage was lovely and clean and we received a warm welcome from our host, who had left us the makings of a BBQ in the fridge. All we had to do was cook the meat. The salad and veg...

We haven't stayed at any bad hotels during our stay in South Africa at all, but Red Stone Hills was the cherry on the cake! Fantastic cottages which are clean and located between the beautiful hills. The food they prepare for you is of the highest quality. You can taste the quality of the ingredients which come from their on...

A beautiful farm with spacious and comfortable houses. A lovely veranda outside our cottage overlooked the ostriches and had a beautiful view out to the "red stone hills". Friendly hosts, I wish I had more time to explore the farm or go on one of the walks in the area

Robert, hope you can enjoy our hiking and walking trails in future! Grateful you enjoyed the view of the red stone hills and the ostriches! You were next to the ostrich breeding pair with their chicks.

My friend and I spent a night at Red Stone Hills after a busy trip along the Garden Route. The cottage was an absolute delight to stay in after a tiring day on the road. Unfortunately, my friend got quite sick en-route to Oudshoorn, so we did not get to do any hiking in the area. The region is absolutely...

My second visit to Red Stone Hills and even better than the first. The accommodation is fantastic! Petro is an amazing host and out of experience, we ordered supper again. The food was again great. The tranquillity and surroundings makes this a very unique experience. Both our visits was too short and a feeling of wanting to stretch time. Next...

Our second visit to Redstone hills and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. We stayed in the Ostrich Palace again and it is really relaxing in it's rustic charm whilst providing all the comforts which we enjoy. The dinner which Petro provided on our first night was excellent and so nice to have it brought to the...

Situated on a good dirt road outside Calitzdorp this country farm makes an excellent base for touring the area or just lazing about The cottages are very private and excellently equipped - in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas, with all one could want for a comfortable stay. There is plenty to do on the farm with lovely walks,...

This is a tranquil spot in a unique geological location. The accommodation units are set far apart from each other and well away from the farmhouse but with good views of the surroundings. The unit are old and therefore have character and charm. Some upkeep is required here and there but generally the units are fully functional and well equipped....
