What a totally and utterly unexpected experience - the owners are friendly, incredibly helpful and genuine. And that's not all! Clean and comfortable rooms, a great breakfast - just a shame we couldn't have spent more time there! But we'll be back! Thanks to Zoe and Huw for a great stay!

It all starts when you check in: the familiar environment and the attention Zoë & Huw give you offering smiles and information about the town and the attractions; the caring atmosphere when they ask you to choose your English breakfast for the next morning that completes the continental buffet with muffins, juices, bread, jam. Then your room with all the...

We stayed at the Baron van Reede B&B in February and were delighted. Zoe and Huw could not have been friendlier and more helpful from organising our evening meal to a welcome drink on arrival. Rooms comfortable and safe parking. An excellent choice in Oudtshoorn. Julie and Dave, London

Everything was just perfect! Zoe and Huw went beyond themselves in making us feel at home! When we arrived, Huw spent about half an hour explaining and showing to us what there is to do in Oudtshoorn, provided us with maps etc., and made a reservation at Kalinka's for dinner. Due to his recommmendation we went to the Cango Caves...AMAZING!!!...

Theirs is a very clean and comfortable B&B, well located on the road to the Cango Caves, Ostrich Farms and Safari ranches. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on too and they made sure we had a table each night...

We loved this little B&B but mainly because of the warm, friendly welcome. As soon as we were in our room we were invited to have a cold beer on the 'veranda' and given lots of info that helped us plan our one day stay in Oudtshoorn. Zoe and Huw were great from recommending and booking a table for us...

We included a side trip to Oudtshoorn (via Route 62) to our Cape Town stay and visited the 88 Baron van Reede Guesthouse. Our 4 days stay was one of the highlights of our trip and we're glad we did it. We were immediately made to feel welcome by Huw and Zoe, and our Veranda room with its little patio...

Stayed for 3 nights at 88 Baron van Reede, it is a beautiful old stone house which has been lovingly upgraded. Our room was a good size with a very comfy bed, aircon and full size fridge. The patio area outside was perfect to sit in out of the 45 degrees sunshine! The pool was a lovely little oasis for...
