Tonquani Oudtshoorn is the perfect Guest House for a romantic getaway. The House which dates back to 1927 has been lovingly restored and boasts all modern amenities and luxuries with old world charm! Personal touches are everywhere - freshly picked roses, books to read and artifacts to admire. The owners were on hand to welcome us and to fill our...

I recently went on a trip along the Garden Route with my partner, and we decided - last minute, to stay over in Oudtshoorn! Seeing as we have previously stayed at Tonquani in Knysna, we knew about the property in Oudtshoorn as well, and decided to call and find out if they have space available! To our surprise they could...

After staying at Tonquani Knysna for my birthday in January we decided to visit Tonquani Oudtshoorn hoping for the same 5 star service and treatment and what a lovely surprise! Two cottages around a splash pool and a beautiful large enclosed garden with lots of trees, ponds, water features and birds. You would not think you were so close to...

We recently had the pleasure of staying over at Tonquani Cottages Oudtshoorn and everything was PERFECT!! From initially booking to the warm welcome we received on arrival! Had I not known I was smack in the middle of one of our Countries hottest towns I'd think I just walked through a door in a wall to my own little private...

We stayed in July as part of a trip on the Garden Route. There are only 2 little guest cottages, facing each other across a pool. There is a huge garden, including some fruit trees and the breakfast includes grapefruit from the garden - yum. Really nicely done, quite close to some good restaurants and safe to walk to restaurants...

Two cottages in the back of a manor house, with a swimming pool between them. The cottages are in a lovely garden, very well maintained. Tonquani is very close to the city center and conveniently located for the restaurants and shops. Room was nice, clean, with heating/air con. The housekeeper was very kind as well as efficient, she explained us...

We travel extensively and often travel internationally. In June we drove the Garden Route in South Africa. In a word, it is stunning! We took nine days to drive the route east to west, from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. We stayed in Oudtshoorn for 2 nights at Tonquani Lodge. The reception was by the owner Sheldene (a South African...

We spent two nights here and found the cottages to be very comfortable and incredibly well equipped. The housekeeper, who also cooks a delicious breakfast ( which included grapefruit freshly picked from the tree in the garden!), was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely recomment Tonquani if you wish to stay in central Oudtshoorn - however there are some...

We travelled from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town with a one-night stop in Oudtshoorn. We saw a lot of guest houses but this one was really beautiful! Two garden cottages with a swimming pool, excellent breakfast and good advices where to go for dinner or what to do in town. If we ever return to Oudtshoorn we will book...

We stayed for 2 nights in February in one of the two cottages by the swimming pool. We were offered the choice of a large room, with a huge bathroom and a 4 poster bed, but the cottage next to the pool appealed to us more, especially after a long hot day on the road. That trip also made the...
