Tarzan and Jane meet Lord of the Rings. Felt like I was in the vale, visiting the Hobbits, but they were all in hiding and only normal humans were about. Lovely. Different. Quaint. Cozy. An escape into another time and place. Nestled among, under and above the tree canopy, with amazing views of the beach. Lots of steps. Steep lanes. Some...

Spent the weekend and had an amazing time. Clean stylish rooms, attentive really friendly professional staff. Food at the restaurant good. Just Saturday nights service could have been a bit better. But I'm not downgrading though. Will definitely go back

Monkey Valley Resort is a great place to stay as long as you know what you are getting. The hotel has self catering lodges in their grounds and this is where we stayed. We had a two bedroom lodge with a deck with the most amazing views over the beach. We could walk directly to the beach from our lodge...

Excellent sea views, 5 star service in the restaurant, perfect room service. The management went out of their way to make us feel at home. The other guests were considerate and sociable. Beach walks were exhilarating. Rooms had all the amenities, even with water restrictions, w could clean the salt water off.

We rented a self catering bungalow for 2 nights. Very nice view over Noordhoek beach and also direct access to the beach and surfing spot via small path to the dunes. Bungalow is not all new but it is well equipped and the location is the strong point. There is a restaurant in the complex where the food is average.

I recently spent 2 nights in Monkey manor, a 4 bedroomed cottage high up the hill at monkey valley. The views are stunning and the cottage very comfortable. The only downside is that there is only parking for 1 car so if its a group of 2-3 cars, some people will have to walk the very steep road, which is...

On arriving our room was changed with no prior notification and we were not told just taken to a 6 sleeper chalet, we were told we were upgraded because of film crew being there. (They should have told me when i booked and we could have changed it for another weekend)We had booked for a executive room garden facing, (never...

What a letdown! Was told that the calamari was some of the best in Cape Town, but was sorely disappointed. They charged us R95 for a pathetic portion. The calamari was mostly flavourless and was cold when it arrived! The chips had the texture of food that has been prepared, frozen, and then reheated. They were disgusting. The best part...

The Resort is run down and old. Also there is construction at the moment and there was no warning when we booked. Breakfast and service in the restaurant was good. Some more attention to detail in the rooms would be good, for example a plunger and filter coffee and water.
