My sister and I spent a couple of nights at the African Queen early in February. We had a super welcome from Marc who took the time to sit and chat with us over a welcome drink before showing us to our very comfortable room. It was spacious, bright and and well appointed with everything you could want including a...

The location of African Queen is fantastic to visit the whole Cape and Cape Town. Warm and friendly staff who prepares a delicious breakfast. Near to good restaurants as the Food Barn and Harbour House in Kalk's bay.

We had no accommodation booked and needed to find something last minute. Marc was super accommodating and even though he said he only had one room left, apparently their smallest, we felt that it was just perfect! Everything we needed!! He knows the area so well and directed us to some great local eateries. We will definitely be back!!

Very welcoming guest house , relaxed friendly atmosphere and we met some great people also travelling too. Marc's Braii is a must if you are there at the right time - indeed the cooked breakfasts are pretty special too. Great venue for a beach walk, visiting Cape Point Vineyards or walking in Silvermine reserve. Do try to visit Kommetigie the...

Marjolijn en Marc were very helpful and gave us a real warm welcome. The rooms are well decorated and clean with lots of privacy in the garden. Great breakfast as well! Noordhoek is a very nice town with a great beach.

We stayed for a couple of days in the honeymoon suite, which had a fabulous jacuzzi bath tub. Our hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and provided some great dinner locations. A must try is The Foodbarn which is a 10 minute drive away.

Perfect place to stay with the kids. Marc and Marjolijn were very helpful, also when prepping the trip. Lovely garden with two pools. The location is perfect and a perfect base for nearby activities, great restaurants are within 3-5 min drive. Ask Marc for a taxi!

Very comfortable, very relaxed guest house. The bed was wonderful and the bathroom has all the little touches that make a big difference eg enough counter space for toiletries. Well stocked bar fridge with snacks. Staff were unobtrusive, and the owner Marjolijn was very accommodating of my requests. Will definitely stay again!

I stayed at the African Queen for 4 days and I enjoyed every minute of it: lovely and spacious room, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts. I liked the view of the ocean from the garden, and the Marco Polo swimming pool. Its location is good: close to Chapman's Peak Drive that will get you to Hout Bay and...
