We booked Bamboo guest House because it was dog friendly, but what a great little find. We loved the quirky garden, full of amazing plants and objects like old typewriters! The rooms were extremely comfortable and individually decorated with real character and flair. The breakfasts were great too. We all thought the place was really special and so original. My...

I am a real fan of Knysna and have stayed in many different establishments in the area... Bamboo Lodge is something unique and a fantastic experience. From the entrance you can see the gardens are a true reflection of the name, with bamboo growing in the garden. Walking further towards reception, you quickly realize that this is like the garden...

Place is dirty. Needs a lot of maintenance. Couch was smelling very bad. I think their pet friendly policy creates problems because they don't clean the place properly after guests with pets have left. We where disturbed one morning at four o clock when one of the guests dogs started making a noise.Breakfast is a very long process we had...

Bamboo the Guesthouse conjures up visions of hobbits, fairies and "wild life". A boardwalk leads visitors to the pool, main house (restaurant, office, bar, deck) and to accommodation but one feels that a GPS won't go amiss. The plentiful garden creates intimate personal and private spaces. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Good Afternoon Thank you for such wonderful words about our little hideaway forest! Our staff make it their goal to make sure each guest is attended to and taken care of. As for the garden, i think you could definitely get lost in here without a GPS! Kindest Regards Savannah

We booked two nights at this place but left after the first even though we had paid for two. When we arrived we were somewhat shocked by the dark room, lightened with blueish old-fashined energy saving bulbs. It was very cold and the open fireplace we had (got an upgrade to the honeymoon suite) did not really help much. The...

Good day I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience staying with us and only wish that you had said something so we could of offered you another room you might of liked more. As for the butter dishes we once again apologize they are definitely supposed to be changed and cleaned everyday, as for the bowls...

Usually in the oyster festival period...all guesthouses B&Bs etc are quite pricey. Not only is bamboo very nicely located, but its very well priced too. The staff are super friendly (and certainly very accomodating of all the cyclists there for the races). Certainly a must do next year

Very cold. Fire place did not extract smoke properly. No other form of heating available. All clothing ended up smelling of smoke. Did not get the room we booked but still paid for the better room we had booked

Good day Dennis We are very sorry to hear you did not like your room and only wish you had informed us that your fireplace was not working properly, if only you told us the problem we would of attended to it immediately. I understand you paid for a Honeymoon room, but as you recall you did inform us last...

Lovely property situated in a bamboo forest with a surprise around every corner. Woke up to birdsong and a gorgeous breakfast served in a cozy room with a crackling fire going. Very special property with extremely friendly staff.

I had the pleasure of staying at Bamboo lodge for a weekend away. It was absolutely magical, it felt like I was living in the middle of the forest. The rooms were beautiful, the service impeccable and all the staff were amazing. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be visiting here in the future again.
