Having read all praise about Aloe we have to admit we got quite disappointed of our stay at Aloe (comparing to all other stays that we have had in South Africa). The hosts, John and Lesley, were very nice and helpful and tried to do their best but unfortunately not very visible during our stay (3 nights). The room was...

Dear Irene Thank you for taking the time to review Aloe House. Whilst we endeavour to give that personal touch to every single one of our guests, we do have to bear in mind that most people prefer not having intrusive hosts when on holiday so our apologies if you found us to be absent. Your complaint about our beds...

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely lodge. John and Lesley are great hosts and our 6 year old son had lots of jokes with them. The lodge itself is modern and clean, the staff make a great breakfast and delicious biscuits. We took a boat trip and saw loads of whales, you can spot them from the beach...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Aloe House and for all the compliments, Jo. All feed-back is important to us and our staff. We hope to see you, Mani and little Cael soon again. The whales have begun their journey back to the Antarctic, but luckily, will return in June next year! In the meantime there's...

It was a verry nice stay in a beautiful lodge! The rooms are modern. And the staf is verry friendly and helpful. The owner has given us some nice tips for wine tasting, good restaurants and to see some more whales.

We loved the Aloe guest house! We stayed there from 17 till 20 july 2014. Unfortunately, both the whale watching and a cage dive with white sharks were cancelled because of bad wheather. Thanks to alternatives provided by John our stay became a memorable one. We will never forget the mental (and Scotch!) support John gave us during the night...

We spent 2 nights at the Aloe. The hotel is simple but comfortable and cozy. We were greeted warmly by the owners, Leslie and John. They were perfect. Helped us in everything we need. The breakfast is great and the Leslie's cookies are unmissable. Hermanus is a beautiful city with panoramic views of Walker Bay. We went to Hermanus for...

Aloe Guest House was recommended by another B&B we had stayed in Knysna. What a great find! We had not made any reservations so we were looking for places to stay as we toured the coastline of Africa for 21 days in June 2013 (sorry for the late review). John and Leslie were absolutely charming and went out of their...

I stayed at Aloe House for 3 nights on the 1st June 2014. Warm, inviting, friendly and homey, Leslie and John (and the ever faithful Harry the basset hound) run a small establishment that makes you feel that you are the most special and welcome guest of the guest house. It has a limited number of rooms, all beautifully furnished...
