We enjoyed our stay at this lovely guest house, we were greeted by a lovely lady who informed us that a booking had been made for an evening meal which we took up, we did have a taxi in and out of Hermanus but as there were 4 of us this did not work out expensive. Anything we asked for... More

My wife and I stayed at Les Baleines for two nights. It is a lovely spacious guest house with really nice bedrooms, great sea views, good breakfasts and its nice and quiet. The only downside from our personal viewpoint is that it is located a good ten minute drive from the town of Hermanus, Since there is no in house... More

We were welcomed to this lovely guest house by the owner. Our room was very spacious with lovely views. There are two large public areas, one with a snooker table and honesty bar and the other with a great selection of books and binoculars to keep an eye out for whales. Our host had pre-booked a restaurant for that evening... More

We stayed in the beautiful Mountain Monkey room. Gorgeous room with a huge bed and the bath tub was fab. The hotel itself is more of a guest house and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. There are two beatiful common areas with fabulous views over the ocean. Food was gorgeous and the only down point was... More

Les Baleines is a small but very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Hermanus. It was in a beautiful, peaceful location with views overlooking the sea. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and had an amazing shower which was fab to use. There were 2 lounges one with access to a small pool, the upper one had a seating area... More

Excellent stop over for 2 nights. We stayed in the whale unit, which proved ideal for our requirement. 1 queen size bed and twins in second bedroom. Breakfast was included and proved tasty and varied. The snooker table in the main house was great , as was the draught's and chess board. You have gated parking in whale unit. All... More

I knew from booking this accommodation it was going to be something different from what we usually book, especially reading that check in has to be by 6.30, there is a dog and a cat around the property and it is in suburbia! The front drive accommodates 3 cars and more can be parked around the back, behind locked gates.... More

One of the loveliest guest houses we have ever stayed in. Décor was tastefully done and the rooms where comfortable with a stunning bathroom. on arrival we were warmly greeted and told that they had arranged a dinner reservation in town and a whale watching boat trip. Both of which could be cancelled if we desired. We took up both... More

In a word....Wow! We were greeted by Teresa as we got out of the car, so first impressions were really good and that was BEFORE we stepped inside! The place is homely with an attention to detail scarcely found in anywhere we've ever stayed. My OH travels a lot with work, to some of the best hotels in the world,... More

We spent one night in Les Baleines this week as part of our honeymoon. It became a hub for us to do Whale Watching & Shark Diving. Leaving Capetown on Thursday I read some of the most recent reviews on this place and I was a little apprehensive of what to expect when we arrived. I needn't have been worried... More
