The hotel was in a lovely location with stunning views, the rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished - the bathroom was a bit simplistic but fine. We took our 2 year old with us and the staff couldn't do enough for him. It was a nice family feel. My only criticism was that breakfast was a little disorganised. You had...

We decided on Hermanus as a quick short break away from the rush of the city life and work. Our stay at Baleens Hotel / Guest House was very pleasant and the staff at this establishment were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious each morning and very filling and well plated and served. We would definitely visit again...

This is a very tired and run-down hotel. The rooms are not clean with hairs in the shower and stains on the bed linen. The common rooms were over crowded and the furniture were old and dated. We couldn't wait to get away from this depressing place!!!

We enjoyed our stay. Kids enjoyed the games room. Breakfast was good -catered for all likes and dislikes hot breakfast and cereal available for breakfast. Room was next to the kitchen and At night had a dripping sound and other noise in the main room which was a bit disturbing when we wanted to sleep. And it was a bit...

Baleens is a lovely place! We received wonderful service and the host, Craig, was very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend Baleens to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hermanus. Our family stayed in the deluxe family suite. The room was quite nice. Just the bathroom was a bit small. The room and bathroom was very neat, clean...

We had a lovely stay in your establishment - we found the rooms neat and clean. It was a great bonus that our two puppies were allowed to stay as well. Hoping to be back in December. The added bonus of breakfast was a nice touch

We were a family of 4 with 2 deluxe sea view rooms booked. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean but small and no hairdryer. One guest chair available in our room was desperate to be replaced as padding was worn. One window latch was broken. When using our balcony we noticed a big ball of faeces on...

Baleens has a very good location, the rooms are perfectly clean and well decorated. The common rooms (living room, games room, breakfast room) are very comfy. We had a great stay and enjoyed the warm welcome and the calm of the place.

This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel. Service was very helpful and accomodating, especially with our little dog, so a room by the garden was ideal. The breakfast is lovely, although a little boring. The games room was great, although the pool table needs repairing. Other comments which might be specific to our room, was that the TV...

My friend and I, two females on a road trip with our sons (both aged 12) stayed at Baleens in Hermanus for three nights in April. Although the weather was'nt the greatest, Craig the Manager and the staff were awesome. Craig in particular was always cheerful and made you feel welcome, happy and ready to face the day in a...
