As Vegans, or should we say, people who eat a plant based diet, we arrived today with great excitement that we could finally approach any stall and be free to eat anything we chose. But - the food here is utter rubbish. Cheap, processed and mostly deep fried inedible non-food. I was totally disheartened that every single thing we eat...

Took time in nature and packed a pick nick basket and spent the day under the trees next to the river. They have conveniently placed numerous braai's with grids for you to use everywhere. The picture you see is what you get, so go and enjoy life!

This is a popular holiday resort, a long stretches of unspoilt beach and the tranquil lagoon which makes a perfect setting for a peaceful holiday. The Wilderness rest camps are situated on the Touw River lagoon, where the Serpentine flows into it.

It was great staying inside the Wilderness National Park. We (2 couples) stayed 3 nights in a 2-Bedroom Log Cottage. The cottage was a bit small for four, but clean and functional. The structure of the building may need investigating, as it was shaking whenever someone moved. Great bird watching from the balcony and around the accommodation complex.

We use SANParks a lot but this was the first time we stayed anywhere so close to a town. It proved a good choice compared with other Wilderness locations if you want somewhere affordable and with space for children to run around. The campgrounds are large and green, with river and marsh fronts, many trees, jungle gym. No swimming at...

The SANPARKS have done an excellent job with Wilderness NAtional PArk. If you looking to experience outdoor life with home comforts then this is a very good option. The whole property is very well maintained and the wooden chalets gives you that outdoor wilderness feel. We were a big group with lots of children and everyone had a great time...

We were surprised how sumptuous and well appointed the house we had in the SAN Parks accommodation in the Wilderness National Park. It was modern and well appointed in a lovely setting. The walks from the Park were beautiful along well signed trails into the forest with lovely bird life. The Wilderness beach a drive away is breathtaking. Although the...

This has got to one of the most tasteful, well appointed sites in RSA. You feel the energy returning to your soul. Camping or staying in the well appointed chalets is an experience that is remembered for a long time. Want to return!

“The chalets on the river are a good choice especially if you have a big group. You can book the chalets all next to each other. Probably worth paying the extra for the ensuite chalets although the communal facilities are very clean and well maintained.”
