The picturesque gardens of Cellars-Hohernort in Constantia, Cape Town is a dream for anyone who loves to spend time outdoors, while the suites inside the hotel offer space and old-world luxury the likes of which are not often found in many modern-day establishments. I loved every moment of my stay here. Friendly staff and great big rooms. Also the spa...

This is a wonderfully traditional-looking country property, with lovely light, airy rooms. The spa is great -- had a wonderful massage and a really great post-safari facial. Eating in the main hotel restaurant is more informal in style, with excellent food. Comfortable beds, great service, friendly, helpful in absolutely every way. Thank you so much, guys -- we will plan...

It was a chilly winter's night, with a weak gas fire in the beautiful lounge. Staff welcoming but the pre-dinner drinks were confused. (medium cream sherry served cold from the fridge! The brandy and ginger ale mixer, came as two separate drinks - the ginger ale with ice and a straw?). The menu is not extensive and rather overpriced, but...

It was our first visit to the location for a dinner. The menu was concise and not to opulent yet sufficient choice. The service was first class and on the ball. The quality of the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Attention to detail was great. Worth a visit if you don't mind a bit of a drive...

Encouraged by two friends who were enthusiastic about their visit to the Cellars Hohenhort High tea we went there yesterday. I will sub-title this review “the High Tea that was not”. We arrived at hotel at 3pm and were directed to the Conservatory. I had previously met a staff member who informed me that we could sit inside or outside....

Dear robelsa Thank you for posting your review, I am most distressed at the experience that you and your wife had here! Rude waitresses, wobbly chairs, slimy ponds, very junior chef/managers on smoke breaks and an unappealing menu sounds terrible and a different Hotel! As Trip Advisor does not give us contact details, I appeal to you that you contact...

This hotel is a very nice Relais Chateau in the middle of nowhere (which is great!) Great great restaurant in house and the concierge got us a reservation at the restaurant La Colombe (where you need to reserve months in advance). We got a 1 bedroom suite. Be aware you are in a country hotel so you might see ants...

I attended a small group workshop at Cellars Hohenhort in the heart of winter and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms are beautifully and warmly decorated.
