Wonderful place to stay. Sally, Mike and the staff were excellent hosts and enhanced our tour of the Cape area. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The room was clean, comfortable, well decorated and quiet. On top of the fine accommodations, we were provided with very useful guidance about the surrounding area. It saved us from mistakes, pointed us in good...

My husband decided on our yearly trip to Cape Town, that he just did not want to stay in central Cape Town, but a bit out in the country. I don't know how I stumbled on DONGOLA HOUSE, but it was small, private, heated pool, and the owners Sally and Mike turned out to be the most amazing hosts. The...

Great location for the wine region and getting into Capetown itself. Sally and Mike were the perfect hosts - friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. When they discovered it was the birthday of one of my sons, they immediately organised a little cake and candle, saying that they would have done more if they had known - how kind was...

Dongola Guest House is an excellent B&B in a very attractive setting. Everything about it lived up to our expectations and we were especially impressed with the way in which the staff made us feel at home and went out of their way to help us.

Although it was just one night at this fabulous Guest House, I could write an essay on how comfortable we felt and how attention to detail made it all the more special. The breakfast was such a treat, being able to just relax and soak up all the beautiful surroundings and views, whilst being treated like Queens, waited on and...

Dear Jackie, glad to hear you will be back and hopefully for more than one night, so we can spoil you properly. Thank you so much for the lovely review, I doubt an essay could improve on your description though. Warm regards, Mike, Sally and Natalie.

This is the kind of guest house which has thought about the details - for example, each morning at breakfast two tables were laid out for us: one inside and one outside, so we could choose where to have breakfast. The owners are exceptional hosts and along with continually excellent hospitality. This is a B&B which feels like a boutique...

Small boutique Hotel with family touch in wine area. Breakfast was excellent with innovative options to choose from. The Groot Constantia wine Estate is worth a visit and is in walking distance through beautiful vinejards.

After spending many years in hotels on trips to Cape Town, this time we opted for a B&B. Having had some unpleasant memories of dictatorial B&B owners in the past, I was a little apprehensive. What a gem. It's situated in a quite suburb on the Constantia wine route with safe on-site parking and more than comfortable rooms. The breakfasts...

Wow Andrew, you should be a travel blogger! Maybe you are. I would love to know why so many regular traveller to Cape Town are choosing Guest Houses over Hotels lately. Anyway I am not complaining. Dictatorial B&B Owners" you never mentioned you had stayed at Fawltey Towers and actually met Basil, ha ha. We do not subscribe to that...
