Boutique and stylish, this gem of a guesthouse is ideally positioned to get the best of both views - that of Table Mountain and also over the city looking out over the coast. We only stayed one night as it was our last night in Cape Town and wanted it to be somewhere special, which it certainly was. The bed...

It is already a year ago that we visited but I always wanted to leave a review about this place. Both for work and pleasure have seen a lot of places in the last few years but hardly anything as good as this place. Super friendly, fantastic breakfast and really nice rooms. The lodge is almost a museum full of...

This lodge is the loviest place to spend a romance in Cape town according to my past experiences. The owner and the staff are always available to make sure that you will enjoy your stay and advise you about what and how to do it. Perfect for a honney moon!

Rutland Lodge, in Oranjezicht, is in a great location - minutes from Table Mountain and the bays, convenient for the Waterfront and downtown and easy to find coming in from the airport, or leaving for the Winelands. Friendly service from Jean Jo and Derrick. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. Enjoyed supping a glass of wine out by...

First time that we've stayed in B&B. It was a good experience. Jean Jo and Derrick are very friendly and they sure know what hospitality is ! It was as if we were 'home'. Next time in Capetown I would like to go back there, and if not, I will certainly pay them a visit.

Rutland Lodge is wonderfully located, right under Table Mountain and right on the city's doorstep with a breathtaking views of both. The Sir Herbert Baker designed Cape Dutch home is extremely well furnished with a genuine homely atmosphere and is perfectly finished off by the warm and personal service that both proprietor, staff and Derrick gave us during our stay....

We stayed in a deluxe room. Very friendly efficient welcome after a long flight from the UK. Over a cup of tea we were given an overview of Cape Town, where to go, where to eat etc. Our room was extermely spacious and cofortable with an in-room bath and shower (sounds strange but was great). Large and very comfortable bed....

We stayed at Rutland Lodge for 5 nights and found it an absolute pleasure. Derrick is a fantastic and professional host and the lodge so comfortable. We were a bit late to get a top floor room which was a shame but our fault for not booking earlier. It is in the perfect location to explore the beaches, restaurants, city...

In February, my wife and I spent 5 days at Rutland Lodge in the City Bowl of Cape Town. Immediately upon arrival, I was charmed by the warmth of the welcome, the host Jean Jo, the house and its decoration. The living room is amazing with these wooden ceiling and pillars. The views overlooking Cape Town and stretching as far...
