We had a great stay and Dunkley House. Despite an initial mix-up with the reservation, the Dunkley House team sorted us out and we enjoyed the clean rooms, tasty breakfast and the great location. Situated on a nice, quiet, safe street but close enough to all the major attractions in Cape Town. Good value for money. Well done Dunkley House!!!

I stayed in this establishment from the 28DEC16 and checked out today. I booked through discovery as this was one of the four star rated B&Bs. Upon our arrival we were placed in a room which was nothing like the pictures advertised on the discovery/kulula site. We expressed our concern but had no choice and accepted the room. Hereafter we...

Thank you for your review. We really apologise for the inconvenience caused by the creeping little creatures of the night. Always a challenge with the old house to decide to rip out the original features(old wooden floors in the room and replace them or patch them up as they end up being hiding places for these small creatures although we...

I have stayed here previously in one of the external rooms and it was lovely. However, I'm not sure if things have generally deteriorated or whether there is quite a marked disrepancy between the quality of the accomodation but the room we stayed in this time was really disappointing considering it was a superior classic. Good: central location, reasonable price...

Our room was right off the pool in a unit that was in need of so many things. The carpet was stained, the paint was awful and tired, the internet for the room was sporadic at best (you should see the number of wires and cables they have, it is embarrassing in this day and age and in Cape Town...

The photo's on the website are very deceiving, as the rooms do not look like that anymore. The bathroom was not very clean, towels old and dirty, did not feel very comfortable taking a shower in teh bathroom. Would NOT recommend it to anyone.

We had the hotel driver meet us at the airport and arrived at the hotel close to eleven pm. Much to our chagrin, there was no one to greet us! The driver made numerous calls and after 45 minutes reached someone who told him how to unlock the gate. While we were glad to finally get in, it was very...

I thought I was lost as I was routed down narrow one way streets in what seemed to not be the nicest part of CT. Dunkley is situated on a narrow street and the only parking was four houses away so I parked with 2 wheels on the pavement and hoped the rental wouldn't be broken into. Once you go...

Dunkley House (DH) is the place to be, just 15 minutes walk to Cape Town Central and 15 minutes from the Airport by car. Rooms are spacious with tab and hot water all through; they have DVD players in the rooms and a collection of movies with free access at the reception. Breakfast was relatively good, though with a slight...
