We stayed here 5 night in May. Owners away on holiday so that might have been why we had a few issues. We stayed in Davis room at the back of hotel. The view was non existent as about 18ft from a patio door the house at the back loomed up right at the fence and at a higher ground...

We stayed here for 5 days in May and fortunately we had the balcony room overlooking Cape Town. It has a comfortable queen size bed with en-suite and TV. The rooms are large, but basic but if you require a cup of tea the staff are really helpful and will bring a tray to your room (usually with a delicious...

I've stayed here several times, often with groups. Beautiful property, delightful staff, excellent breakfast. They happily arrange for taxis and tours, offer advice on things to see and do. Overall a great place to stay when in Cape Town!

This was my first stay at the Acorn House. The hospitality and friendliness are simply outstanding. The house feels like a home, with charming rooms with old wooden floors and very tasteful furniture. The rooms are spotless. The breakfast is delicious and it's all amazingly very affordable. I give this place a 10 and can recommend anyone to stay there,...

Upon arrival, after a large flight, I was greeted by Stewart and a much needed glass of wine. The house is beautiful and accomodations very comfortable. Breakfast was great and I loved having it in the porch by the swimming pool. The staff was very helpful with tips and helped me with reservations. Acorn is a lovely place, in a...

This guest house is superbly situated in a quiet suburb on high ground beneath Table Mountain. We were looked after with genuine warmth by the lovely staff (Asisipo, Thabiso, Stan, and Oliver), who on one evening managed to get us a table at a restaurant that was fully booked. Everything, including breakfast, was of a high standard and showed great...

We stayed at Acorn House for 6 nights. I have to agree with recent reviews: this is an excellent choice within easy reach of the city centre, Table Mountain and other attractions. The welcome could not have been warmer and all staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Our ground-floor room was located towards the rear of the house and...

Guests needs are priority in this lovely house. Denise and Stan were most helpful in arranging our activities and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with lovely artistic touches. Breakfasts on the terrace are delicious. Well situated for access to central Cape Town and Table mountain and beyond.

Stan and Denise made us feel genuinely welcome from our first meeting and were always on hand to provide advice on where, when and how to visit the tourist hotspots. Variety and quality of breakfast was excellent and there is a handy deli restaurant across the road for the times when you want to eat locally.
