A lovely, lovely place! Our only issue was it was near capacity when we were there and our two rooms were on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately the wind was howling for 2 of the days and being next to the roof made it quite noisy. The host and staff however are exceptional, accommodating with anything and everything you may want...

We have stayed at Abbey Manor for more than 4 times and returned this February as excited as the first time. It's not that we are unexciting and unable to find alternatives but Abbey offers everything we want. Fantastic views of the city and Table Bay. Gorgeous views of Table mountain. Walking distance to the V & A Waterfront or...

This was our sixth visit to Abbey Manor and I'm pleased to say it was as comfortable as ever . The garden room that we have always stayed in had been redecorated and looked splendid .To reiterate the position is splendid with easy taxi access to the city bowl, waterfront and Camps Bay . Cape Town is as beautiful as...

I booked my South Africa trip thru an agency and they handled all of my hotels. I did not realize when I saw my trip itinerary that at Guest House is the same thing as a B&B. I don't like B&B's, especially when traveling alone. This one was a nice place but it is in the middle of a residential...

Dear newflyer, Thank you for the compliment that we are “nice place”. But we are are sorry to hear that you only find satisfaction in hotels instead of guesthouses. Abbey Manor nestles on the slopes of Table Mountain in the upmarket and tranquil suburb of Oranjezicht, overlooking the splendor of Cape Town. Oranjezicht is acclaimed for its proximity to the...

Pros: My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Abbey Manor is a really nice place - especially the views from the grand room are extremely beautiful. And the breakfast is awesome! You can reach every place in the city by foot and climbing Table Mountain is also easily possible. Cons: The minibar cold be better equipped (some products...

This guesthouse was chosen by our tour operator and it was perfect for our requirements. It provides bed and breakfast only and is situated on a hillside below Table Mountain in a residential area overlooking the city. The guesthouse was built in 1908 as the private home of a wealthy businessman and appears largely unaltered so it has a period...

Wow ! A room with a view ! This place is situated directly beneath Table Mountain ! We arrived mid morning slightly tired and nothing was too much trouble - breakfast was available with copious amounts of tea or coffee . Our room was spacious with a/c if needed. Beds were turned down at night with a small piece of...

Four of us stayed here for four nights over new year, the rooms are very comfortable and well equipped and the pool and gardens beautiful and restful after hot days out. Breakfasts were delicious and on three mornings served by a very friendly helpful young lady. The only negatives for us were the poor wifi and the rather abrupt lady...

Lovely place with superb views of table mountain. With friends and we were allocated the 2 garden rooms. Ours was the top one and was lovely. Lauren, Dirk and Mike very helpful. Felt Anja could have been a little more helpful on a couple of occasions. We asked for a taxi to the waterfront on NYE and asked for an...
