Charming, homely and very comfortable boutique hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be sad to leave Fiona and the team who have looked after us extremely well. Lovely location with fantastic views of Table Mountain. Convenient for getting into the city but with good local restaurants within 5 mins walk.

I visited Welgelegen while vacationing in Cape Town with friends, and I was blown away by this hotel. I haven't stopped raving about it for two months. Ultimately Welgelegen is an incredible place to stay for three reasons: (1) the location, (2) the hotel itself, and (3) the service provided by the managers. First, Welgelegen is in a prime location.... More

A brilliant hotel - wonderful service from start to finish, including the weeks after we left - on returning to UK I realised I'd lost a watch; the hotel found it and ensured it was delivered safe and sound (and still on SA local time!) Great location, small and luxurious - perfect!

Really enjoyable stay. Breakfast good and location perfect for us, a short walk to Cloof Street. No hesitation going back to this accommodation. Rooms different sizes, but ours was upstairs and plenty big enough for us.

This lovely hotel was exactly what we wanted for our stay in Capetown. We stayed in room 10, which was beautifully decorated and had a view of Table Mountain from our balcony. The breakfast were wonderful as were the sitting areas and courtyard. The staff were friendly and the manager was super helpful. It was a pleasure to return to... More

We chose to stay in Welgelegen as we love smaller boutique style hotels that have character and soul and we wanted to be able to walk to restaurants in the evening and not have to reply on taxi's every night. Welgelegen was the perfect choice. The hotel was made up of two large Victorian mansion houses connected by a beautiful... More

We stayed here for three nights in July. They spoiled us! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We had great views of Table Mountain from our balcony. Breakfast is yummy. At night, we walked a few blocks to many restaurant choices. Definitely would stay here again.
